The aim of this dissertation is to investigate the promotion strategies of theglobally operating firms and to learn the buying behaviors the customers with the helpof identifying the factors affecting the customers' buying process of the private labelproducts. With this purpose, in addition to the effects of demographic and socioeconomiccharacteristics of consumers; the effects of their perceptional behaviors ofrisk averseness, price consciousness, store image, store loyalty and promotion strategieson private label attitude is tried to be determined.In this study it is aimed to examine promotion strategies related to private labelproduct which is although a new concept but spreading rapidly. In this context in thefirst and second chapter of this study, after the literature review on brand concept, theconcept of private label and promotion strategies have been examinedcomprehensively. The research model is developed by means of different modelspresent in the literature. In the application chapter findings gained by evaluating thedata from the 1220 survey was conducted through in Trabzon, Giresun and Ordu,centers carried out in order to examine the attitudes of consumers toward private labelproducts has been explained by logistics regression, t-test and Chaid analysis. Out of 12hypotheses, 12 hypotheses accepted. Bu çalışma, küresel pazarlarda faaliyet gösteren firmaların uyguladıklarıtutundurma stratejilerini incelemek ve tüketicilerin özel markalı ürünleri satın almadavranışı sürecini etkileyen faktörlerin tespit edilerek, tüketicilerin özel markalıürünlere yönelik satın alma davranışlarını öğrenmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçlatüketicilerin demografik ve sosyo-ekonomik özellikleri, risk algıları, fiyataduyarlılıkları, mağaza imajı algıları, mağazaya duydukları sadakatin vesüpermarketlerin uyguladıkları tutundurma stratejilerinin özel markalı ürünlere yöneliktutumları üzerindeki etkisi belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.Bu çalışmada; ülkemiz açısından yeni bir kavram olmakla birlikte çok hızlayayılım gösteren özel markalı ürünlere yönelik olarak tutundurma stratejilerininincelenmesi hedeflenmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın birinci ve ikinci bölümündemarka kavramına ilişkin literatür taramasının ardından özel marka kavramı vetutundurma stratejileri geniş olarak incelenmektedir. Çalışmanın uygulama bölümündeise, araştırma modeli, literatür incelemesine dayanarak çeşitli modellerdenyararlanılarak geliştirilmiştir. Tüketicilerin özel markalı ürünlere yönelik tutumlarınıincelemek amacıyla Trabzon, Giresun ve Ordu il merkezlerinde yapılan 1220 anketçalışması verileri lojistik regresyon, T-testi, Chaid analizleri uygulanarakdeğerlendirilmiştir. Oluşturulan 12 adet öngörünün hepsi kabul edilmiştir.
