In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the power and force parameters of lower and upper extremities of the individual and team athletes who practice different branches. A total of 32 athletes actively do sports in elite level whose average age is 21,16 ± 2,08, average height is 177,59 ± 7,49 and average body weight is 79,66±21,68 participated in this study. The groups were formed from Boxing and Handball (BG and HG) branches in which the upper extremities are used predominantly (UEASB) and from Taekwondo and Football (TG and FG) branches in which the lower extremities are used predominantly (AEASB). The anaerobic power values of each individual's upper and lower extremities were measured by a Monark 894E arm and leg cycle ergometer that was connected to computer modified for Wingate test and that had the compatible software for the computer. The isokinetic force values of dominant arms and legs were measured by a cybex humac norm device.SPSS 22 package program was used for the statistical analyses of the data. Independent sample t test was used for the comparison of means, one way analysis of variance (Anova) was used for the comparison of branches, LSD and Tukey tests which are included in post hoc test family were conducted to determine where the differences were originated from. Pearson correlation matrix was used in the relationship between the groups. The significance level was determined as 0,05. After examination of the data it was found that the upper extremity power values of BG and HG were significantly higher (p<0,05) than TG when the top values of powers (ZG) were evaluated. Other averages were similar to each other. In the evaluations with respect to leg 60°/s and 180°/s extension and flexion; HG and FG was significantly higher than TG in 60°/s extension at ZG; HG and FG were significantly indifferent but they were significantly higher than BG and TG in 60°/s flexion at ZG (p<0,05). In the comparisons of the groups' 60°/s and 180°/s extension and flexion values of lower extremities anaerobic power and isokinetic force and lower extremities' wingate values, a number of positive relations were found between all of the groups. All of the groups were positively related to each other in terms of upper extremities wingate and 60°/s, 180°/s internal and external isokinetic forces. There was not any significant difference in dominant arms' 60°/s internal and external isokinetic force values at ZG between the groups. However, when the 60°/s internal and external isokinetic averages were considered, average values of BG and HG groups in which the upper extremities are predominantly used were significantly higher than FG and TG groups. There was not any significant difference between UEASB (HG and BG) and AEASB (TG and FG) in the predominance of extremities and in the lower extremities wingate power averages at ZG, RZG, OG and ROG power levels. UEASB group was significantly higher (p<0,05) than AEASB in the upper extremities wingate power values at ZG, RZG, OG and ROG levels. With respect to the extremity dominance, there was not any statistically significant difference in the isokinetic force values of dominant legs at 60°/s and 180°/s extension and flexion at ZG and OG averages between UEASB and AEASB groups. With respect to the extremity dominance, UEASB group was significantly higher than AEASB (p<0,05) in the isokinetic force results of dominant arm at 60°/s internal and external ZG and OG, at 180°/s internal and external OG, and at 180°/s internal ZG; the isokinetic force results at 180°/s external ZG level were statistically indifferent. It was found that the relation between the upper extremities dominance at 60°/s and 180°/s rotation and the wingate upper extremities OG was weak, but there was a positive relationship between UEASB and AEASB in the lower extremities dominance at 60°/s and 180°/s rotations and wingate lower extremities OG correlation levels. To conclude; it was found that there was a positive correlation between the isokinetic force parameters and the wingate levels, but this relationship was stronger in lower extremities than upper extremities. Both the isokinetic arm force values and arm wingate levels were statistically higher (p<0,05) in the branches in which the upper extremities are used predominantly than the branches in which the lower extremities are used predominantly. On the other hand, the difference seen in the upper extremities was not seen in the lower extremities. It is thought that the reason for this situation is the lower extremities are active in the branches in which the upper extremities are used predominantly (BG and HG), but the upper extremities are not active in the branches in which the lower extremities are used predominantly (FG and TG) as much as the action level of the lower extremities in the former one.
