In this study, the flora of Gaziantep province, which is one of the most important cities in Turkey with regard to population, was investigated in terms of hemeroby.Within the limits of the study, 215 sampling fields were determined in the city center and neighboring villages and their present floristic compositions were examined. The results revealed 87 families and 395 taxa belonging to 258 genera. Among these species, 18 of them were endemic while 119 of them were exotic and plantation. According to the IUCN threat categories; two of the endemic taxon belonged to CR categorization, four of them belonged to VU, and 12 of them belonged to LR categorization. Results of the analysis of floristic composition of sampling fields with TWINSPAN Multivariate statistical program, 7 different groups in terms of absence/presence were determined. In addition, 17 different biotopes were identified according to floristic content of the study area.The places of these species? floristic contents were specified in hemeroby scale. Soil samples were collected from the habitats of these plants, and chemical and physical analyses were performed on these samples. Multivariate Statistical analyses were also carried out on the ecological results obtained. Soil samples belonging to the plants mentioned were found to have been highly contaminated due to urban factors, and accordingly, the floristic composition and habitats structure of the region exhibited high synanthropic features.

Bu çalışmada, nüfus bakımından ülkemizdeki en büyük kentlerden biri olan Gaziantep İl merkezi ve çevresindeki köylerin florası incelenerek, hemerobi (doğallık derecesi) açısından değerlendirilmiştir.Çalışma kapsamında İl merkezi ve çevre köylerini kapsayan 215 örnek parsel belirlenmiş ve bu alanlarda bulunan floristik yapı ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda, alanda toplam 87 familya ve 258 cinse ait tür ve tür altı seviyede 395 takson tespit edilmiştir. Bu taksonlardan 18'i endemik olup toplam tür sayısı içerisinde egzotik ve dikili-doğal türlerin sayısı 119'dur. IUCN Tehlike kategorilerine göre endemik taksonların 2'si CR, 4'ü VU, 12'si ise LR kategorisindedir. Örnek parsellerde tespit edilen floristik yapı, TWINSPAN Multivariate istatistik programında, taksonların parsellerde bulunma/bulunmama durumuna göre analize edilmiş ve bunun sonucunda 7 farklı bitki grubu elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca, alandaki floristik içeriğe bağlı olarak 17 farklı biyotop tipi tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen taksonların, ait olduğu alanların floristik yapılarının hemerobi skalasındaki yerleri belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada, farklı biyotopları temsil eden örnek parsellerden alınan toprak örneklerinin bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal analizleri yapılmıştır. Elde edilen toprak analiz verileri MVSP (Multi Variate Statistical Package) programı ile istatistiksel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Toprak örneklerinin,özellikle kent ortamlarında yapı ve içerik yönünden doğallığının kaybolduğu ve alandaki floristik kompozisyonun bu doğrultuda yüksek sinantropik özellik gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.
