The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of motivation, anxiety, personality types, self-confidence, measurement and evaluation practices, teaching strategies, teaching methods and techniques, student expectations, language skills, willingness to learn language and Turkish culture on the willingness to communicate for those who learn Turkish as a foreign language. In this framework, we have made interviews with the students and the instructors and then conducted surveys with scales to the students.The study has been conducted at the Language Education and Research Center of Istanbul University (DİLMER, İstanbul Üniversitesi Dil Eğitimi ve Araştırma Merkezi) and 319 foreign students studying at B1, B2, and C1 level and 8 instructors teaching Turkish to these students have participated in the study. In the study, the researcher has developed and applied semi-structured `Student Interview Form for Willingness to Communicate` to the foreign students, semi-structured `Instructor Interview Form for Willingness to Communicate` to the instructors, `Scale of Willingness to Communicate in Turkish` to determine the willingness of students to communicate, `Turkish Communication Anxiety Questionnaire` to determine the communication concerns of the students, `Turkish Communication Self-confidence Questionnaire` to determine self-confidence of the students to communicate and also adapted the `Personality Scale` and applied to determine the personality types of the students.At the end of the research, the students' willingness to communicate in Turkish has been found to be high, and they have a positive attitude towards Turkish language and Turkish culture. The instructors have been determined to be willing to increase the willingness of the students to communicate in Turkish but they do not have qualifications for special fields in the Turkish language.Keywords: Teaching Turkish as a foreign language, willingness to communicate, communication anxiety, self-confidence in communication, individual difference.

Araştırmanın amacı, yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenenlerin motivasyonlarının, kaygılarının, kişilik tiplerinin, öz güvenlerinin, beklentilerinin, dil becerilerinin, dil öğrenme istekliliklerinin; ölçme değerlendirme uygulamalarının, öğretim stratejilerinin, öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerinin ve Türk kültürünün iletişim kurma istekliliğine etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaç çerçevesinde öğrenci ve okutmanlarla görüşmeler yapılmış öğrencilere ölçek ve anketler uygulanmıştır.İstanbul Üniversitesi Dil Eğitimi ve Araştırma Merkezinde (DİLMER) gerçekleştirilen çalışma, Türkçe öğrenen B1, B2 ve C1 düzeyinde öğrenim gören 319 yabancı öğrenci ve bu öğrencilere Türkçe öğreten 8 okutmanla yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen yabancı öğrenciler için yarı yapılandırılmış `İletişim Kurma İstekliliği Öğrenci Görüşme Formu`, okutmanlar için yarı yapılandırılmış `İletişim Kurma İstekliliği Okutman Görüşme Formu`, öğrencilerin iletişim kurma istekliliklerini belirlemek için `Türkçe İletişim Kurma İstekliliği Ölçeği`, öğrencilerin iletişim kaygılarını belirlemek için `Türkçe İletişim Kaygı Anketi`, öğrencilerin iletişim öz güvenlerini belirlemek için `Türkçe İletişim Öz Güven Anketi` uygulanmış ve öğrencilerin kişilik tiplerini belirlemek için araştırmacı tarafından uyarlanması yapılan `Kişilik Ölçeği` kullanılmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin Türkçe iletişim kurma istekliliklerinin yüksek olduğu, Türkçe ve Türk kültürüne karşı olumlu tutuma sahip oldukları, okutmanların ise öğrencilerin Türkçe iletişim kurma istekliliklerini artırmak istedikleri; fakat Türkçe özel alan yeterliliklerine yeterince sahip olmadıkları tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar Sözcükler: Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi, iletişim kurma istekliliği, iletişim kaygısı, iletişim öz güveni, bireysel farklılık.
