This is a descriptive and cross-sectional study, planned to investigate the perception of fetal health locus of control in the prenatal period and to examine its relationship with maternal attachment. The sample group consists of 150 pregnant women who agreed to join the research and have applied to İstanbul Memorial Şişli Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Policlinics between October 2015 and March 2016. Data were gathered by the researcher using the Pregnancy Introduction Form, prepared in accordance with the literature; Prenatal Attachment Inventory (PAI); Fetal Health Locus of Control (FHLC) Scale with the face-to-face interviewing method. FHLC scale is evaluated in three sub-dimensions, namely `Internal Health Locus of Control (IHLC), `Chance-Based Health Locus of Control` (CBHLC) and `Health Locus Depending On Strong Others` (HLDOSO). The average age of the participants in the study was determined to be 32.01±4.32 with most of them being university graduates (75.3%), working (68%), with moderate income (62%), mostly had a c-section (64.9%) and have one child (68.9%). Findings relating to the health behavior of the pregnant women were; they mostly developed positive eating habits (93.3%); mostly folic acid (94%), iron supplement (90%) and vitamins (94.7%) were taken before (65.2%) and during pregnancy; mostly non-smokers (93.4%); majority not getting a tetanus shot (69.3%); occasional exercises made (44%); hygiene is taken care of (86%); signs that require applying to a doctor (68%) and signs of normal delivery (68.7%) are known; baby movements are followed (82.7%). People of age 36 and above have scored significantly higher in all sub-dimensions of FHLC scale, CBHLC sub-dimension of primary education; couples that are married for more than five years have scored significantly higher in HLDOSO sub-dimension compared to couples married less than three years. It was observed that of the IHLC sub-dimension, the first and second trimester scored more compared to third trimester and of the CBHLC sub-dimension, unplanned pregnancies scored more compared to planned pregnancies. Those that do not use alcohol have scored significantly higher in IHLC sub-dimension; those that do not know the signs that require applying to a doctor have scored significantly higher both in IHLC and HLDOSO sub-dimension. Those that are under 29 years have scored higher in PAI compared to 29 and older; those in second trimester compared to those in first; those that exhibit positive behavior such as exercise, paying attention to hygiene, tracking the movement of a baby and having dreams about the baby compared to ones that do not exhibit such behaviors. There was no statistically significant correlation between FHLC subscales and mean total scores on PAI scale (p> 0.05).As a result, it was determined that mothers' perception of fetal health locus of control and prenatal attachment were affected by many factors such as age, educational status, gestational week, some health behaviors and knowing the symptoms of applying to the doctor. In order to improve health behaviors and attachment during prenatal period, mothers with low perception of fetal health control and insufficient maternal attachment should be determined and appropriate initiatives must be performed upon assessing potential risks.

Bu çalışma prenatal dönemde fetal sağlık denetim odağı algısı ve maternal bağlanma ile ilişkisini incelemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel bir araştırma özelliğinde planlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Ekim 2015- Mart 2016 tarihleri arasında İstanbul'da Özel Memorial Şişli Hastanesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Polikliniklerine başvuran ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 150 gebe oluşturmuştur. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından literatür doğrultusunda hazırlanan Gebe Tanıtım Formu, Prenatal Bağlanma Envanteri (PBE) ve Anne Karnındaki Bebek Sağlık Denetim Odağı Ölçeği (AKBDSO) kullanılarak yüz yüze görüşme yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. AKBDSO ölçeği `İçsel Sağlık Denetim Odağı` (İÇSDO), `Şansa Bağlı Sağlık Denetim Odağı`(ŞBSDO) ve `Güçlü Diğerlerine Bağlı Sağlık Denetim Odağı` (GDBSDO) olmak üzere üç alt boyutta değerlendirilmektedir. Çalışmaya katılan gebelerin yaş ortamalarının 32,01±4,32 olduğu, çoğunlukla üniversite mezunu (%75,3), çalışan (%68), orta düzey gelir sahibi (%62) olduğu, çoğunlukla sezaryen doğum yaptıkları (%64,9) ve bir çocuk sahibi oldukları (%68,9) belirlendi. Gebelerin sağlık davranışlarına ilişkin bulgular incelendiğinde çoğunlukla olumlu beslenme alışkanlıkları geliştirildiği (%93,3), gebelikten önce (%65,2) ve gebelik sürecinde çoğunlukla folik asit (%94), demir preparatları (%90) ve vitamin (%94,7) alındığı, sigara kullanılmadığı (%93,4), çoğunluğunun tetanoz aşısı yaptırmadığı (%69,3), ara sıra egzersiz yaptığı (%44), hijyenine özen gösterdiği (%86), doktora başvurmayı gerektiren belirtilerini (%68) ve normal doğum belirtilerini bildiği (%68,7), bebek hareketlerini takip ettikleri (%82,7) bulundu.Yaşı 36 ve üzerinde olanların, AKBDSO öçeğinin bütün alt boyutlarında, temel eğitim alanların ŞBSDO alt boyutunda, beş yıldan fazla evli olanların ise üç yıldan kısa evlilere göre GDBSDO alt boyutunda anlamlı derecede daha yüksek puan aldıkları belirlendi. İÇSDO alt boyutunda birinci ve ikinci trimesterdekilerin, üçüncüncülerden, ŞBSDO alt boyutunda ise gebeliği planlamayanların planlayanlardan daha fazla puan aldıkları belirlendi. Alkol kullanmayanların ŞBSDO alt boyutunda, doktora başvurma belirtilerini bilmeyenlerin hem ŞBSDO hem de GDBSDO alt boyutunda anlamlı yüksek puan aldığı belirlendi. PBE'de ise 29 yaş ve altındakilerin üzerindekilere oranla, ikinci trimesterdekilerin birinciye oranla, egzersiz, temizlik, bebek hareketlerini izleme ve bebekle ilgili hayal kurma konularında olumlu davranış sergileyenlerin sergilemeyenlere oranla anlamlı yüksek puan aldıkları belirlendi. AKBSDO alt boyutları ile PBE ölçeğinden alınan ortalama toplam puanlar arasında ise istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir korelasyon ilişkisi bulunmadı (p>0,05).Sonuç olarak, annelerin fetal sağlık denetim odağı algısının ve prenatal bağlanmanın yaş, eğitim durumu, gebelik haftası, bazı sağlık davranışları ve doktora başvurma belirtilerini bilme gibi birçok faktörden etkilendiği saptanmıştır. Prenatal dönemde sağlık davranışlarını ve bağlanmayı geliştirmek amacıyla fetal sağlık denetim odağı algısı düşük ve maternal-fetal bağlanma düzeyi yetersiz olan anneler belirlemeli ve olası riskler değerlendirilerek uygun girişimler planlamalıdır.
