The purpose of this research is to examine the role of the teaching profession of mothers on the level of perfectionism of the mother and the level of perfectionism/anxiety of their children. With this purpose, ''Personal Information Form'' and ''Frost Multidimentional Perfectionism Scale'' were answered by 300 mothers with the average age of 47,88 from Manisa and '' Frost Multidimentional Perfectionism Scale'' and '' Spielberger State- Trait Anxiety Inventory'' were answered by their 300 children with the average age of 22,19. In addition, mothers' ( age, education, income, marital status, occupation and their number of children) and children' (age, occupation, education, care taker in preschool period) demographic information were analyzed.The relationship between the teaching profession and mothers' perfectionism is investigated. According to the results of the study, only ''Parental Criticism'' scores are differentiated statistically due to the fact that the mother is a teacher or not. For ''Parental Criticism'', the scores of teacher mothers are significantly lower than the scores of mothers who are not teachers. When the relationship between teacher mothers and level of perfectionism of children who are aged between 15-30 are analyzed, children's scores on only ''Personal Standards'' are differentiated statistically due to the fact that their teacher is a teacher or not. For ''Personal Standards'', the score of children with teacher mothers is significantly higher than the children whose mother is not a teacher.When the relationship between teacher mothers and the level of anxiety of children who are aged between 15-30 investigated, children's anxiety scores aren't differentiated statistically due to the fact that their mother is a teacher or not.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, annenin öğretmen olup olmamasının anne mükemmeliyetçilik düzeyi, çocuğunun mükemmeliyetçilik ve kaygı düzeyi üzerindeki biçimlendirici etkisinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaçla Manisa ilinde yaşayan yaş ortalamaları 47,88 olan 300 anneye '' Kişisel Bilgi Formu'' ve ''Frost Çok Boyutlu Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği'', yaş ortalamaları 22,19 olan 300 çocuğuna ise '' Frost Çok Boyutlu Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği'' ve ''Spielberger Durumluk-Sürekli Kaygı Envanteri'' uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca annelerin (yaş, eğitim durumu, gelir düzeyi, medeni hali, çalışma durumu ve mesleği, eşlerinin yaş ve mesleği, sahip oldukları çocuk sayıları) ve çocuklarının (yaş, meslek, eğitim durumu, okul öncesi dönemde bakan kişi) demografik özellikleri değerlendirilmiştir.Öğretmenlik mesleğinin annenin mükemmeliyetçilik düzeyi ile ilişkisi araştırılmış ve yapılan analizlere göre sadece Aileden Eleştiri puanlarının annenin öğretmen olup olmama durumuna göre istatiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmen olan annelerin öğretmen olmayan annelere göre Aileden Eleştiri puanları anlamlı derecede düşük bulunmuştur.Annenin mesleğinin öğretmen olması ile 15-30 yaş arası çocuğunun mükemmeliyetçilik düzeyi arasındaki ilişki incelendiğinde, çocukların sadece Kişisel Standartlar puanlarının annelerinin öğretmen olup olmama durumuna göre istatiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Annesi öğretmen olan çocukların Kişisel Standartlar puanı diğerlerine göre anlamlı derecede yüksektir. Annenin mesleğinin öğretmen olması ile 15-30 yaş arası çocuğunun kaygı düzeyi arasındaki ilişki incelendiğinde ise çocukların aldıkları kaygı puanlarının annelerinin öğretmen olup olmama durumuna göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
