Energy is one of the most important needs of humanity in the past, present and future. Energy consumed per capita is one of the indicators of economic development. Energy cannot be considered separate from the economy, so the energy economy is born. Energy, which is the key to development, is a problem in the world, especially in developing countries due to the depletion of resources. Turkey's foreign trade deficit is due to a large portion of energy imports.In this study, the supply, demand and consumption of types of energy in Turkey and which sectors consumes them are examined and the relation between Turkey and its commercial relations with its most energy exporters are analyzed.

Enerji geçmişte, bugün ve gelecekte insanlığın en önemli ihtiyaçlarındandır. Kişi başına tüketilen enerji, ekonomik gelişmişlik göstergelerinden birisidir. Enerji ekonomiden ayrı düşünülemez, bu nedenle enerji ekonomisi doğmuştur. Kalkınmanın anahtarı olan enerji, kaynakların tükenebilir olmasından dolayı öncelikle gelişmekte olan ülkelerde olmak üzere tüm dünyada bir sorun olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Türkiye'nin dış ticaret açığının büyük bir bölümü enerji ithalatından kaynaklanmaktadır.Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'nin enerji türlerinin arzı, talebi ve hangi sektörlerde tüketildiği incelenmiş ve Türkiye'ye en çok enerji ithal eden dört ülke ile ticaret ilişkisinin analizi yapılmıştır.
