In this study, Hudûsü'l-Âlem, Mâhiyetü'l-Ecsâm, Efâlü'l-Ibâd and Vûcub tractates of Çerkeşîzâde Mehmed Tevfîk Effendi (1826-1901), a scholar who was assigned to important grades in Ottoman Empire, was examined. In the introduction of our thesis extensive data based on the primary sources about the life of Tevfîk Efendi, his services, works and scholarly personality were given. In the first of our thesis aforementioned kalam tractates were translated and presented to readers. In the second of our thesis Tevfîk Efendi's opinions in kalam were detected. In the Hudûsü'l-Âlem treatise, Tevfîk Efendi advocates that universe is hadith in terms of its all elements. He argues that the difference in the state of existence of objects in his Mâhiyet'ül-Ecsâm treatise is due to the differentness of objects. İn terms of creation, deeds are associated to Allah, in terms of acqusition of livelihood, they are associated to servants in Efâlü'l-Ibâd and he says that forced consideration and passing the buck on Allah is wrong. In the Vûcub treaty, he is of the opinion that it is unlikely that God will be attributed to Allah and that it will be possible to refer to God with a wisdom and wisdom. On the acceptance of repentance, according to Tevfîk Efendi, Allah has declared that the promise will be accepted.

Bu çalışmada Osmanlı'da önemli kademelerde görev almış bir âlim olan Çerkeşizâde Mehmed Tevfîk Efendi'nin (1826-1901) Hudûsu'l-Âlem, Mâhiyetü'l-Ecsâm, Efâlü'l-İbâd ve Vucûb risâleleri incelenmiştir. Tezimizin giriş bölümünde Tevfîk Efendi'nin hayatı, hizmetleri, eserleri ve ilmi şahsiyeti hakkında birinci el kaynaklara dayalı olarak geniş bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci bölümünde bahsi geçen kelâm risâlelerinin çevirileri yapılıp okuyucuların istifadesine sunulmuştur. İkinci bölümünde ise Tevfîk Efendi'nin kelâmî görüşleri tespit edilmiştir. Tevfîk Efendi Hudûsü'l-Âlem risâlesinde âlemin tüm cüzleriyle hâdis olduğunu savunmaktadır. Mâhiyetü'l-Ecsâm risâlesinde cisimlerin varoluş hallerindeki farklılığın cisimlerin mâhiyetlerinin farklı olmasından kaynaklandığını, Efâlü'l-Ibâd risâlesinde fiillerin yaratma yönünden Allah'a, kesb yönünden kula izafe edileceğini, bu konuda cebrî düşüncenin ve sorumluluğu Allah'a havale etmenin yanlış olduğunu söylemektedir. Vûcub risâlesinde ise Allah'a şer'i ve aklî bir vucûbiyet isnat etmenin mümkün olmadığını ancak vermiş olduğu vaadi hikmeti gereği gerçekleştireceği konusunda Allah'a isnat edilen vucûbun câiz olacağı görüşündedir. Tevbenin kabulü konusunda ise Tevfîk Efendi'ye göre Allah, vaad olarak sahih tevbenin kabul edileceğini bildirmiştir.
