Abstract

In this study, of which has a natural distribution in Turkey and the world, and its wood is used in some of wood-based industry, Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehn. and Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill ex Maiden)?s natural distribution, phsical properties and possible uses were investigated.Besides, the effect of NaBH4 added kraft pulp was produced from Eucalyptus Camaldulensis Dehn. and Eucalyptus Grandis W. Hill ex Maiden, and its effect on pulp yield was investigated. 20 trials performed for determination of optimum pulping condition. As a results of the data obtained, optimum kraft- NaBH4 pulping condition (G5 and C5 trials) of Eucalyptus were as follows; sulphidity charge on oven dry (o.d) raw material: 28%, active alkali charge (o.d raw material): 18%, sodium borohydride charge (o.d raw material): 0.3%, cooking temperature: 150 °C, time at maximum temperature: 150 minute, liquor to stalks ratio: 5/1. In conclusion, NaBH4 increased the screened yield of kraft pulp 5%.

Bu araştırmada; Türkiye ve Dünya'da doğal yayılışı bulunan ve odunu, odun kökenli sanayiinin bazı dallarında önemli ölçüde kullanılan, okaliptüs'ün doğal yayılışı, fiziksel özellikleri ve kullanım yerleri incelenmiştir.Çalışmada ayrıca, Eucalyptus Camaldulensis Dehn. ve Eucalyptus Grandis W. Hill, kraft-sodyumborhidrür (NaBH4) yöntemiyle kağıt hamuru üretiminde NaBH4 hamur verimi üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Optimum hamur üretim koşullarını belirlemek için 20 adet pişirme denemesi yapılmıştır. En yüksek elenmiş hamur verimi ekonomiklikte göz önüne alındığında; sülfidite %28, aktif alkali oranı %18, sıcaklık 150 °C, pişirme süresi 150 dakika, NaBH4 oranı %0.3 ve çözelti/sap oranı 5/1 olarak alınmış G5 ve C5 nolu pisirme deneylerinde elde edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak NaBH4 elenmis hamur verimini ortalama %5 oranında artırdığı tespit edilmiştir.
