Various studies and innovations are carried out in order to reduce the harmful effects of the automotive sector, which is one of the factors causing environmental pollution on the environment globally. The new generation of alternative technology vehicles, also known as environmentally friendly cars, have emerged as a result of these studies. In many countries of the world, such cars have started to be sold and used. Our country falls behind other countries in terms of supply and demand for these vehicles in the sector. The aim of this research is to investigate the thoughts and tendencies of consumers in Bodrum on environmentally friendly vehicles. In the first part of the study, the concept of innovation, assessments related to the role and importance of the automotive industry in the world and in Turkey are mentioned. In the second part, environmentally friendly cars and their types are explained. In the third part, the research in which the survey data and results and findings obtained from the questionnaires conducted with the participation of 427 consumers living in Bodrum are interpreted, is included. According to the results of the research, it is determined that the demand of consumers living in Bodrum for vehicles with alternative engine technology is increasing.

Dünyada çevre kirliliğine yol açan unsurlardan biri olan otomotiv sektörünün çevre üzerindeki zararlı etkilerinin azaltılması amacı ile çeşitli araştırmalar ve yenilikler yapılmaktadır. Çevre dostu otomobiller olarak da bilinen yeni nesil alternatif teknolojili araçlar bu çalışmalar sonucunda ortaya çıkmıştır. Dünyanın birçok ülkesinde bu tarz otomobiller satılmaya ve kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Sektördeki bu araçlara olan arz ve talep her geçen gün artarken, ülkemiz diğer ülkelere oranla geri planda kalmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Bodrum'daki tüketicilerin çevre dostu otomobiller konusundaki düşüncelerinin ve eğilimlerinin araştırılmasıdır. Araştırmanın ilk bölümünde, inovasyon kavramı, dünyada ve Türkiye'de otomotiv endüstrisinin yeri ve önemi ile ilgili değerlendirmeler yer almaktadır. İkinci bölümünde, çevre dostu otomobiller ve türleri açıklanmaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde ise, Bodrum'da yaşamakta olan 427 tüketicinin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilen anket verileri ve anketlerden elde edilen sonuç ve bulguların yorumlandığı araştırma yer almaktadır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, Bodrum'da yaşamakta olan tüketicilerin alternatif motor teknolojili araçlara olan talebinin artmakta olduğu belirlenmiştir.
