Özlem Candan, Embryo Development and Pregnancy Rates with Sperm Samples Obtained from Obstructive and Nonobstructive Azospermia Patients, Institute of Health Sciences, 2017.The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of different etiologies of azoospermia on the ICSI results in the presence of testicular motil sperm obtained from male patients with OA and NOA in our study.Between 2007-2017, 337 azoospermia couples who applied to IVF clinic of Beşiktaş OTA-Jinemed Hospital for ICSI were retrospectively analyzed. Only patients involving motile testicular sperm with m-TESE were included in the study. Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 13.0 (SPSS Inc.) was used to evaluate the obtained data.m-TESE procedure, was performed under general anesthesia. The ICSI procedure was applied to the sperm obtained from the m-TESE. Embryo transfer was performed 3 days after oocyte retrieval. Pregnancy was confirmed 12 days after ET by assessing serum hCG level.The number of oocytes collected, number of oocyte injected, fertilization rate, number of embryo transferred, implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate and abortion rate were found to be similar in both groups.As a result, if motile sperm can be detected with m-TESE from testes, there was no difference between ICSI treatment results in patients with NOA and OA.Keywords : Azoospermia, microdissection TESE, ICSI, obstructive azoospermia, non obstructive azoospermia, infertility.

Özlem Candan, Obstrüktif ve Non Obstrüktif Azoospermi Hastalarından Elde edilen Sperm Örnekleri İle Embriyo Gelişimi ve Gebelik Oranları, Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2017.Çalışmamızda OA ve NOA'li erkek hastalardan elde edilen testiküler motil sperm varlığında farklı azoospermi etiyolojilerinin ICSI sonuçları üzerine etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. 2007-2017 yılları arasında çocuk sahibi olamama şikayetiyle Beşiktaş OTA-Jinemed Hastanesi IVF kliniğine başvurup ICSI uygulanan 337 azoospermili çiftin dosyaları retrospektif olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmaya sadece m-TESE ile motil testiküler sperm bulunan olgular dahil edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde İstatistik Paket for Social Sciences sürüm 13.0 (SPSS Inc.) kullanılmıştır. Spermiyogram sonucu azoospermi olduğu saptanan hastalara m-TESE operasyonu genel anestezi altında gerçekleştirilmiştir. m-TESE sonucu elde edilen spermlerle ICSI prosedürü uygulanmıştır. Embriyo transferi, oosit toplanmasından 3 gün sonra gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gebelik ET'den 12 gün sonra serum hCG seviyesinin değerlendirilmesiyle doğrulanmıştır.Siklusların sonuçları karşılaştırıldığında toplanan oosit sayısı, enjekte edilen M2 sayısı, fertilizasyon oranları, 3. Güne ulaşan ve transfer edilen embriyo sayısı, implantasyon oranı, klinik gebelik oranı ve abortus oranı iki grupta da benzer bulunmuştur.Sonuç olarak testislerden m-TESE ile motil sperm bulunabiliyorsa NOA ve OA bulunan hastalarda ICSI tedavisi sonuçları arasında bir fark bulunmamıştır.
