There are two different account plans, 7/A and 7/B, within the framework of CostAccounting, Generalized Accounting Standards, which are applied as accounting dutiessystematically examining the issues such as determining the cost prices of the productsor services produced in the manufacturing sector, controlling the expenses of thebusiness, price examinations and determining the sales prices. When choosing anaccount plan, the firm considers details of work intensity, process load and productionband. Inspection is monitoring, observing and controlling whether a business carriesout the duties undertaken effectively and efficiently in accordance with the law and procedure. If this control is carried out by independent officers and teams from outsidethe company, it is called `External Audit` and if it is done with a privileged person or persons created within the firm and working independently, it is called `Internal Audit`. In this thesis, it is aimed to examine the cost accounting system applied to theaimed production companies according to the uniform order account plan frameworks,to measure the relation of the cost accounting system with the internal audit within the firm and to determine the probable effects of the applications related to the internal audit related to the system and to try to put forward its contributions with a suggestion.Keywords: Cost Accounting, Internal Audit, Productivity.

İmalat sektöründeki firmalarda üretilen mamul ya da hizmetlerin maliyet fiyatlarının belirlenmesi, işletmenin giderlerinin denetimi, fiyat incelemeleri ve satış fiyatlarının belirlenmesi gibi konuları sistematik bir biçimde inceleyen muhasebe dalı olarak uygulanan Maliyet Muhasebesi, Genel Kabul Görmüş Muhasebe Standartları çerçevesinde 7/A ve 7/B olmak üzere iki farklı hesap planı ile işlem görmektedir. Firmalar hesap planını seçerken, iş yoğunluğu, işlem yükü ve üretim bandının teferruatlarını dikkate almaktadır.Denetim, bir idarenin üzerine yüklenen görevleri zamanında, usulüne ve mevzuata uygun olarak etkili ve verimli bir şekilde yapılıp yapılmadığının izlenmesi, gözlemlenmesi ve kontrol edilmesidir. Bu kontrol firma dışından bağımsız görevliler ve ekipler tarafından yapılıyorsa `Dış Denetim`, firma bünyesinde oluşturulan ve bağımsız olarak çalışan ayrıcalıklı kişi ya da kişilerle yapılıyorsa `İç Denetim` olarak adlandırılır. Bu tezin amacı; Üretim firmalarında uygulanan maliyet muhasebesi sisteminin tek düzen hesap planı çerçevelerine göre irdelenmesi, maliyet muhasebesi sisteminin firma bünyesindeki iç denetim ile ilişkisinin ölçülmesi ve sistemle ilgili olarak uygulamaların iç denetim ile ilişkisinin muhtemel etkilerinin belirlenerek, bu etkilerin maliyet sistemi ve mamul tüketimi adına oluşturabileceği verimliliğe katkılarını bir öneri ile ortaya koymaya çalışmaktır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Maliyet Muhasebesi, İç Denetim, Verimlilik.
