تعتبر محافظة الإسكندرية هي ثاني أكبر المحافظات الحضرية في مصر، التي تغطي مساحة إجمالية قدرها نفس 2299.77 كم، منها مساحة 1675.5 كم مأهولة بالسكان لأكثر من أربعة ملايين نسمة. وتنقسم محافظة الإسكندرية إلى سبع مناطق، اسواؤهم كما يلي: حي المنتزة، حي شرق، حي وسط، حي الجمرك، حي غرب، حي العامرية وبرج العرب وتحوى عدد 36 مركزاً للشباب موزعة توزيع غير متماثل مع هذه المناطق. تستخدم هذه الدراسة تقنية الاستشعار من البعد ونظم المعلومات الجغرافية مع العمل الميداني المكثف، لرسم خرائط نوعية بدقة ، تشمل توزيع هذه المراكز الشباب جغرافياً والتحقق في توزيعها المكاني وهذه ودورها في خدمة السكان في كل حي وقد تم استخدام صورة الأقمار الصناعية من نوع Spot-4 لعام 2009، مع قدرة تفريقية مقدارها 10 م. أثناء العمل الميداني، وموقع كل مركز الشباب تم تحديد بدقة باستخدام نظام تحديد المواقع العالمي المحمولة (GPS). الأخرى وجمعت البيانات المساعدة من تتوفر خرائط ماتيتش، بيانات التعداد العام للسكان والمعلومات البيئية في المناطق. أدى دمج جميع هذه البيانات في إنشاء قاعدة بيانات رقمية وإعداد خريطة رقمية لمراكز الشباب وخصائصها. انها وجدت تعرضوا المراكز نفسه إلى مراحل مختلفة من التنمية. وتكشف الدراسة أن موقع مراكز الشباب لم يتبع التخطيط الحضري القياسية الإسكندرية governorato ذلك، هذا ينصح أن تؤخذ بعين الاعتبار في إنشاء مراكز جديدة للشباب تقوم على أساس علمي.

Alexandria considered as the second largest urban governorates in Egypt, which covers a total area of (2299.7 km) out of which (1675.5 km) populated with more than Four Million people. Alexandria governorate divided into seven areas as follows: (Al MONTAZA DISTRICT, EAST DISTRICT, MIDDLE DISTRICT, GOMROK DISTRICT, GARB DISTRICT, AMERYA DISTRICT and ALBORG DISTRICT). Alexandria has (36) Youth Centers distributed asymmetric with those districts. This study uses the technique of remote sensing and GIS with intensive fieldwork in order to draw quality accurately that includes distribution of youth centers geographically, ensure the spatial distribution as well as their role in serving population in each district. The research used the satellite (Spot – 4) for the year 2009 with differential power of (10 m). During the fieldwork to locate each youth center, the research located precisely their location using GPS as well as gathering of supporting information MATIC MAPS, General Census of Population and Environmental Information in the districts all of which led to merger of this information to establish digital database and preparation of digital map for youth centers and their characteristics. The research revealed that the locations of youth centers did not follow the urban standards planning of Alexandria governorate. Therefore, the research recommended taking into account establishing new youth centers based on scientific basic.
