Aims: The purpose of this retrospective study is to determine demographic information such as age, gender, time, place of trauma, mechanism of pediatrics traumas, consultation required department in emergency rooms and also to determine whether there is any relation between these data.Materials and Methods: In this study, we retrospectively reviewed pediatric trauma cases of 0-16 years old pediatric group who applied to Emergency Medicine Department of Medical School, Inonu University between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013 from the files of the computer registry system. A total of 573 patients were scrutinized. In addition to the demographic characteristics such as age and sex of the patients, the number of patients apply according to the month, the trauma mechanism, the place where the trauma, the desired consultations, the services where the patients are followed, traumatized body region, radiological and laboratory findings and treatments were examined. The relationship between laboratory findings (Hgb, Hct, MCV, PLT, WBC, RDW, Cr, BUN, AST, ALT, glucose, aPTT, INR, erythrocyte and leukocyte in urine), age and injured body regions were investigated.Results: It was determined that the number of male pediatric patients who applied with trauma was more than the number of female chilren patients who applied with trauma in this study. The mortality rate in pediatric trauma was found to be 0.87%. The number of pediatric traumas was found to be higher in july, august, september and october than in the other months. Falling and crashing is the most common mechanism of trauma etiology. Head and neck injuries were detected in the first place when the traumatized body region was examined. The most frequent consulted department is the department of orthopedics and traumatology, the second most frequent consulted department is the department of neurosurgery was detected. It has been determined that a large part of the patients who have been hospitalized and followed up have been monitored by emergency room. Head and neck injuries were found to increase more significantly when the age decreased. Patients with head and neck injuries were found to have significantly lower Hgb, Hct values than patients without head and neck injuries. The BUN value and the RDW value were detected to be significantly higher in patients with head and neck injuries. According to with the patience with head and neck injuries, the MCV value is higher than patients without head and neck injuries. As age decrease, patients have more abdominal trauma was detected. According to with the patience with abdominal injuries, the Hgb value and the Hct value are higher than patients without abdominal injuries. The AST and the ALT values of the patients with abdominal trauma were significantly higher than the AST and the ALT values of the patients without abdominal trauma. As age increased, injuries of extremity significantly increased.Conclusion: It has been determined that there are different etiological reasons for the incidence of pediatric traumas and incidence frequency has been determined to change seasonally. The duration of the apply to the emergency room is different according to the types of trauma, and it has been found that the injured body region is usually the head and neck region.Key words: Emergency, service, examination, imaging, laboratory, pediatrics, trauma.

Amaç: Acil servise başvuran çocuk travmaların retrospektif incelenmesini yaparak yaş, cinsiyet, zaman, oluş yeri ve travma mekanizması gibi demografik bilgilerini saptamak, ayrıca bu veriler arasında herhangi bir ilişki olup olmadığını tespit etmektir.Materyal ve Metod: Çalışmamız, 01 Ocak 2013 ile 31 Aralık 2013 tarihleri arasında İnönü Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Acil Tıp Anabilim dalına başvuran 0-16 yaş grubu pediatrik travma olgularının retrospektif olarak bilgisayar kayıt sisteminden dosyalarının incelemesiyle yapılmıştır. Toplam 573 hastanın incelenmesi yapılmıştır. Hastaların yaş, cinsiyet gibi demografik özelliklerinin yanında aylara göre hastaların başvuru sayısı, travma mekanizması, travmanın olduğu mekan, istenilen konsültasyonlar, hastaların takip edildikleri servisler, travmaya maruz kalan vücut bölgesi, radyolojik ve laboratuar olarak saptanan bulgular ve verilen tedaviler incelenmiştir. Laboratuar bulguları (Hgb, Hct, MCV, PLT, WBC, RDW, Cr, BUN, AST, ALT, glikoz, aPTT, INR, idrarda eritrosit ve lökosit), yaş ile yaralanan vücut bölgeleri arasındaki ilişki incelendi.Bulgular: Çalışmamızda travma ile başvuran çocuk hastalar içinde erkek hastaların sayısının kız hastaların sayısından fazla olduğu saptandı. Çocuk travmalarında mortalite oranının %0.87 olduğu saptandı. Çocuk travmalarının temmuz, ağustos, eylül, ekim aylarında diğer aylara göre daha fazla olduğu saptandı. Düşme ve çarpma travma etiyolojileri arasında en sık saptanan mekanizmadır. Travmaya maruz kalınan bölge incelendiğinde birinci sırada baş-boyun yaralanması saptandı. En sık ortopedi ve travmatoloji bölümünden, ikinci sıklıkla beyin cerrahisi bölümünden konsültasyon istendiği saptandı. Travma sebebi ile başvuran çocuk hastaların, yatış ve takip kararı alınanların büyük bir kısmının acil serviste takip edildiği saptandı. Baş-boyun yaralanmasının, yaşa bağlı olarak yaş küçüldükçe daha arttığı anlamlı olarak saptandı. Baş-boyun yaralanması olan hastaların baş-boyun yaralanması olmayanlara göre Hgb, Hct değerlerinin anlamlı olarak düşük olduğu saptandı. BUN ve RDW'nin baş-boyun yaralanması olan hastalarda anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu saptandı. Baş-boyun yaralanması olanlarda olmayanlara göre MCV değerinin daha yüksek olduğu saptandı. Yaş küçüldükçe hastaların karın travmasının daha fazla olduğu saptandı. Karın yaralanması olan hastaların olmayanlara göre, Hgb ve Htc değerinin anlamlı olarak daha düşük olduğu saptandı. Karın travması olan hastaların karın travması olmayanlara göre, AST ve ALT değerlerinin anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu saptandı. Yaşın büyümesi ile ekstremite yaralanmasının anlamlı olarak arttığı saptandı. Sonuç: Pediatrik travmaların görülme sıklığı açısından farklı etiyolojik sebeplerinin olduğu, mevsimsel olarak görülme sıklıklarının değiştiği, acil servise başvuru sürelerinin travma türlerine göre farklı olması yanında yaralanan vücut bölgesinin genellikle baş-boyun bölgesi olduğu saptanmıştır.
