The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between perceived father attitude and communication skills of high school students; the aim of the study is to test whether perceived father attitude and communication skills scores differ according to some variables. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived father attitude and communication skills of high school students. Also, it was designed in a descriptive design in order to determine perceived paternal attitudes and communication skills and various influencing variables. The study group of this research consists of 317 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students studying at a high school in Çankaya district of Ankara province. In the research, Personal Information Form, `Communication Skills Assessment Scale (İBDÖ) and `My Father and I Attitude Scale `were used as data collection tools. The datas were analyzed with a statistics program. In order to test, Pearson Moments Product Correlation Coefficient, t-test was used in independent groups, One-way ANOVA test was used. The Tukey test was used to determine the groups that resulted from the differences. It was concluded that there was a positive significant relation was found for My Father and I Attitude Scale's responsiveness and autonomy support levels with communication skills. It was found that there was no significant difference between students 'communication skills, My Father and I Attitude Scale's responsiveness, behavior expectation, behavior orientation, psychological control and autonomy support levels according to fathers' ages. It was determined that students' behavior expectation, behavior guidance and psychological control levels were significantly different in favor of male students compared. It was concluded that there was no significant difference between students' communication skills, according to ages. My Father and I Attitude Scale's behavior expectation level has significant difference according to age. Behavior expectation levels of students aged 15 years were significantly higher than those of students aged 16 years. It was concluded that there was no significant difference between students 'communication skills, My Father and I Attitude Scale's responsiveness, behavior expectation, behavior orientation, psychological control and autonomy support levels according to fathers' ages. It was concluded that there was no significant difference between students 'communication skills according to fathers' ages. It was determined that there was significant difference between My Father and I Attitude Scale's responsiveness and autonomy support levels with fathers' education level. The autonomy support levels of the students whose fathers are university graduates are significantly higher than those whose fathers are primary school graduates.

Bu çalışmanın amacı algılanan baba tutumunun lise öğrencilerinin iletişim becerileri ile ilişkisini belirlemek; algılanan baba tutumu ve iletişim becerileri puanlarının bazı değişkenlere göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğini test etmektir. Çalışma algılanan baba tutumunun lise öğrencilerinin iletişim becerileri ile arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla nicel araştırma türünün tarama modelinde korelasyonel desende planlanmış ve yürütülmüştür. Ayrıca algılanan baba tutumu ve iletişim becerilerini etkileyen çeşitli değişkenlerin saptanması amacıyla da betimsel desende tasarlanmıştır. Çalışma grubunu Ankara ili Çankaya ilçesinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı bir lisede öğrenim gören 9., 10., 11. ve 12. sınıfta öğrenim gören 317 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu `İletişim Becerilerini Değerlendirme Ölçeği (İBDÖ)` ve `Babam ve Ben Tutum Ölçeği` kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi bir istatistik programı ile yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Pearson Momentler Çarpım Kolerasyon Katsayısı, Bağımsız Gruplarda t-Testi, Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Ortaya çıkan farkların kaynaklandığı grupları belirlemede Tukey testinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Babam ve Ben Ölçeği Tepkisellik ve Özerkliği Destek alt boyutları ile iletişim becerileri arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin Davranış Beklenti, Davranışı Yönlendirme ve Psikolojik Kontrol düzeyleri erkek öğrenciler lehine anlamlı düzeyde farklılık göstermektedir. Öğrencilerin İletişim Becerileri yaşlarına göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. Babam ve Ben Ölçeğinin Davranış Beklentisi alt boyutunun yaşa göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermektedir. Davranış Beklentisi alt boyutunda 15 yaşındaki öğrencilerin ortalamasının 16 yaşındaki öğrencilerin ortalamasından anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin İletişim Becerileri, Babam ve Ben Ölçeğinin Tepkisellik, Davranış Beklentisi, Davranışı Yönlendirme, Psikolojik Kontrol ve Özerkliği Destek alt boyutları arasında babaların yaşlarına göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamaktadır. Öğrencilerin iletişim becerileri öğrencilerin babalarının yaşına göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. Babam ve Ben Ölçeğinin Özerkliği Destek alt boyutu ile babaların öğrenim düzeyi arasında anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmıştır. Babası üniversite mezunu öğrencilerin ortalamaları Özerkliği Destek alt boyutunda babası ilkokul mezunu olanlardan anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek yüksektir.
