Department: Department of Public Health Nursing, Faculty of Health SciencesAim: The main purpose of this study was to determine the attitudes and behaviors of a public University Faculty of Health Sciences students regarding Complementary, Alternative Therapy and Modern Medicine. Method: The methodology and descriptive design of the study consisted of 2504 students who studying in all departments of a faculty, the sample consisted of 770 students with known N number and selected according to stratified sampling method. The datas of the research were collected by sociodemographic characteristics diagnostic form (23 questions) and the Attitude Scale to Complementary, Alternative and Modern Medicine (CACMAS). Descriptive statistics, t test, analysis of variance were used within the computing space in this study. To adapt the scale, language validity, Scope Validity Index (CVI), Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient, pearson correlation coefficient and test-retest correlation methods were used to test its invariance against time. Research ethics committee, institution and using scale permission were allowed for conducting the study.Results: 87.5% of the participants were female and 12.5% were male. 87.4% of the students do not use complementary and alternative medicine applications, 43.3% of students stated that they prefer the method of cupping. The scope validity (CVI) of the scale was found to be 90%. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, KMO value of the scale was found as .81. It was seen that TAT was disseminated in two sub-dimensions; philosophical harmony, being displeased with Modern Medicine. TAT and Philosophical Adaptation's sub-dimension are explained 23.62% of the total variance, item factor loads variance changing between .42 and .86; and Cronbach's alpha was found to be 82. The Discontent of Modern Medicine sub-dimension was explained as 19.15%, item factor loads were between .43 and .65 and Cronbach's alpha value was found to be .80.Consequence: Complementary, Alternative and Conventional Medicine Attitude Scale is a scale that appropriate to Turkish Language, however, it may be recommended to repeat and research the validity and reliability study in a different sample.Keywords: Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Modern Medicine.

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Tamamlayıcı, Alternatif Tedavi ve Modern Tıbba İlişkin Tutum ve Davranışlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Metodolojik ve tanımlayıcı tasarım ile yürütülen araştırmanın evreninin bir fakültenin tüm bölümlerinde okuyan 2504 öğrenci, örneklemi N sayısı bilinen ve tabakalı örnekleme yöntemine göre seçilen 770 öğrenci oluşturdu. Araştırmanın verileri, sosyodemografik özellikleri tanılama formu (23 soru) ve Tamamlayıcı, Alternatif ve Modern Tıbba Karşı Tutum Ölçeği (TATMTİTDÖ) kullanılarak toplandı. Çalışmanın verileri bilgisayar ortamında incelenirken tanımlayıcı istatistikler, t testi, varyans analizi kullanıldı. Ölçek uyarlamak için, dil geçerliği, Kapsam Geçerliği Indeksi(CVI), Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi, Cronbach Alfa güvenirlik katsayısı, pearson korelasyon katsayısı ve zamana karşı değişmezliğini test etmek için test-tekrar test korelasyon yöntemleri kullanıldı. Araştırmanın yürütülmesi için etik kurul, kurum ve ölçek kullanım izni alındı. Bulgular: Katılımcıların %87.5'i kadın, %12.5'i erkektir. Öğrencilerin %87.4'ü tamamlayıcı ve alternatif tıp uygulamalarını kullanmadıklarını, kullananların %43.3'ü hacamat yöntemini tercih ettiklerini belirtti. Ölçeğin kapsam geçerliği (CVI) %90 bulundu. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda ölçeğin KMO değeri .81 bulundu. Tamamlayıcı ve Alternatif Tedavi ile Felsefi Uyum, Modern Tıptan Hoşnutsuzluk olmak üzere iki alt boyutta dağıldı görüldü. TAT ile Felsefi Uyum alt boyutu toplam varyansın %23.62'sini açıkladığı, madde faktör yüklerinin .42 - .86 arasında değiştiği ve Cronbach Alfa değerinin ,82 olduğu bulundu. Modern Tıptan Hoşnutsuzluk alt boyutu varyansın %19.15'ini açıkladığı, madde faktör yüklerinin .43 - .65 arasında olduğu ve Cronbach Alfa değerinin .80 olduğu bulundu.Sonuç: Tamamlayıcı, Alternatif ve Modern Tıbba Karşı Tutum Ölçeği Türk Diline uygun bir ölçektir, bununla birlikte farklı bir örneklemde geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmasının tekrar edilmesi önerilebilir.
