The purpose of this research is to be able to social and intellectual capitals useing levels in elementary and secondary schools examination of according to the views of school principals. For this purpose, data gathering tools were developed ? 45 items for social capital and 51 items for intellectual capital ? by the researcher. The data was analyzed t test and one-way variance methods. According to the results of the research; it is seen that one element of social capital and two elements of intellectual capital are in ?I agree? level, other elements are in ?I partially agree? level. Regarding social and intellectual capital levels of schools, it is seen that there is a significant difference in the variables of ?school type?, ?gender?, ?educational level? and ?administrator mode?, yet, no considerable difference is defined in the variables of ?school size? and ?working year(s) - seniority?. As for the levels of social and intellectual capitals in schools, they are in ?good level? according to primary school administrators in terms of ?school type? variable and in ?medium level? according to secondary school administrators. It is stated in terms of ?gender? variable that male administrators are ?good? and female administrators are ?medium? and ?lower? levels. They think that bachelors have ?good?, master?s degree graduates have ?medium? and Ph. D. graduates have ?low? levels in terms of ?educational level? variable. Social and intellectual capital levels are considered ?good? by school managers and ?medium? by assistant school managers..Key words: Social capital, trust, social networks, norms and values, intellectual capital, human capital, structural capital, relational capital.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal ve entellektüel sermayenin ilköğretim ile ortaöğretim okullarında kullanılma düzeylerinin okul yöneticilerinin görüşleri doğrultusunda incelenmesidir. Bu amaçla, araştırmacı tarafından sosyal sermaye için 45 ve entellektüel sermaye için 51 maddelik veri toplama aracı geliştirilmiştir. Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Trabzon illerindeki 305 okul yöneticisinin görüşleri alınmıştır. Veriler t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi yöntemleriyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; okullardaki sosyal sermeyenin bir unsuru ile entellektüel sermayenin iki unsuru ?katılıyorum? düzeyinde, diğer unsurlar ise ?kısmen katılıyorum? düzeyinde olduğu görülmektedir. Okullardaki sosyal ve entellektüel sermaye düzeyleriyle ilgili olarak?okul türü?, ?cinsiyet?, ?eğitim düzeyi? ve ?yönetici şekli? değişkenlerinde anlamlı fark gözlenirken; ?okul büyüklüğü? ve ?çalışma yılı-kıdemi? değişkenlerinde anlamlı fark tespit edilememiştir. Sosyal ve entellektüel sermayelerin okullardaki düzeylerinin, `okul türü? değişkeni bazında ilköğretim okul yöneticilerine göre ?iyi düzeyde?, ortaöğretim yöneticilerine göre ise ?orta düzeyde? dir. ?Cinsiyet? değişkenine göre, erkek yöneticiler iyi , bayan yöneticiler ise orta ve daha alt seviyede olduğunu beyan etmektedirler. ?Eğitim düzeyi? değişkeni açısından, lisans mezunları iyi, yüksek lisans mezunlarının orta ve doktoralı yöneticiler ise düşük düzeyde olduğunu düşünmektedirler.
