Abstract

In contemporary business environment, firms need to have a high competitive power in order to sustain their existence. Since firms continuously grow and progress, they have to monitor all kinds of business activities, planning and audits. Therefore firms are in need of a successful performance and efficiency assessment.This study aims to analyze the performance and efficiency of specific firms in Turkey via the ratios from financial tables during the period of 2010-2018.In line with this purpose, the study is conducted on sixteen manufacturing firms in BIST 50 index by applying fuzzy topsis and fuzzy data envelopment analysis methods. Besides, to enrich the analysis, the classical data envelope analysis and the classical topsis methods are added to the study. In consequence of the study, performance and efficiency assessments of the firms above are performed and necessary rankings are generated.

Günümüz piyasalarında işletmeler, varlıklarını devam ettirebilmeleri için yüksek bir rekabet gücüne ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Sürekli bir şekilde büyümek ve gelişmek durumunda olan işletmeler, her türlü işletme faaliyetini, planlamaları ve denetimleri devamlı olarak izlemek zorundadır. Bu doğrultuda işletmeler, başarılı bir performans ve etkinlik değerlendirmesine ihtiyaç duymaktadır.Bu çalışma ile Türkiye'de faaliyet gösteren belirli işletmelerin 2010-2018 yılları finansal tablo verilerinden elde edilen oranlar aracılığıyla performanslarının ve etkinliklerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bahsedilen amaç doğrultusunda bu çalışma, BIST 50 Endeksinde işlem gören ve imalat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren on altı adet işletme üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada bulanık topsis ve bulanık veri zarflama analizi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmanın zenginleştirilmesi amacı ile bahsedilen yöntemlere ilave olarak, klasik veri zarflama analizi yöntemi ile klasik topsis yöntemi de çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda seçili işletmelerin performans ve etkinlik değerlemeleri yapılarak, gerekli sıralamalar meydana getirilmiştir.
