Aim: The aim of this study is to assess the relation of the Demirjian's and Nolla's dental age determination methods with chronological age, bone age and pubertal growth curve in boys and in girls aged between 10-15.Material Method: In the study, 717 children (B/G:334/383) were included, the whole population's chronological age, pubertal growth phase and bone age in accordance with Greulich-Pyle Atlas by evaluating left wrist radiograms, dental age according to Demirjian's and Nolla's Methods by using panoramic radiograms were assessed and relationships between each other were analyzed.Results: As the whole study group was assessed, the bone age and the dental ages calculated according to Demirjian's and Nolla's methods was found higher than the chronological age by 0.29 year, 0.77 year and 0.23 year, respectively. Therefore, the closest result to chronological age came from Nolla's method. According to both Demirjian's and Nolla's methods, tooth number 35 emerged as a determining factor in the pubertal growth curve phases.Conclusion: Bone age was higher than chronological age in the girls and it was approximately the same as chronological age in the boys and bone age was higher than chronological age by 0.0 year and 3.4 months in the all of the children. Dental age estimation using Demirjian's method was higher compared to all methods. Dental age determined by Nolla's method was about the same as bone age in the whole group. Age estimation from lower to higher, respectively, was found as chronological age, bone age, Nolla's method and Demirjian's method in the boys while it was found as chronological age, Nolla's method, bone age and Demirjian's method in the girls. The most decisive of the pubertal growth curve phases was 35 numbered teeth according to Demirjian's method and also 35 numbered teeth was found decisive in determining of the pubertal growth curve phases by Nolla's method.Key Words: Demirjian's method, Bone age, Chronological age, Nolla's method, Pubertal growth curve.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı 10-15 yaş arası erkek ve kız çocuklarında, Demirjian ve Nolla diş yaşı tayin metoduyla belirlenen diş yaşı ile kronolojik yaş, kemik yaşı ve pubertal büyüme eğrisi arasındaki ilişkinin değerlendirilmesidir.Materyal ve Metot: Bu çalışmaya 717 çocuk (E/K:334/383) dahil edilmiş olup, tüm popülasyonun kronolojik yaşı, Greulich-Pyle Atlasına göre sol el bilek radyogramı değerlendirilerek kemik yaşı ve pubertal büyüme evresi, panoramik radyogramlar kullanılarak Demirjian ve Nolla metoduna göre diş yaşı değerlendirilmiş ve birbirleriyle olan ilişkileri incelenmiştir.Bulgular: Tüm çalışma grubu değerlendirildiğinde kronolojik yaşa göre, kemik yaşı, Demirjian metoduna göre hesaplanan diş yaşı ve Nolla metoduna göre hesaplanan diş yaşı sırasıyla; 0.29 yıl, 0.77 yıl ve 0.23 yıl daha büyük çıkmıştır. Dolayısı ile kronolojik yaşa en yakın sonucu Nolla metodu vermiştir. Hem Demirjian metodu hem de Nolla metoduna göre pubertal büyüme eğrisi dönemini belirleyici diş 35 numaralı diş olarak çıkmıştır. Sonuç: Kemik yaşı kızlarda kronolojik yaştan daha ileri çıkmış, erkeklerde kronolojik yaş ile yaklaşık olarak aynı çıkmış olup tüm çocuklarda kemik yaşı kronolojik yaştan 0.0 yıl 3.4 ay daha ileri çıkmıştır. Demirjian metoduyla diş yaşı tüm metotlara göre daha büyük bulunmuştur. Nolla metodu ile diş yaşı tayini bütün hastalarda kemik yaşı ile neredeyse aynı çıkmıştır. Kızlarda yapılan yaş tahminleri en küçük yaştan büyüğe doğru kronolojik yaş, Nolla metodu, kemik yaşı ve Demirjian metodu iken, erkek çocuklarda kronolojik yaş, kemik yaşı, Nolla metodu ve Demirjian metodu olarak bulunmuştur.
