This study was conducted to examine the relationship between adolescents' childhood traumas and their future expectations. With respect to this general purpose, whether or not there is a relationship between childhood traumas of adolescents and their future experiences was examined. In addition, whether childhood trauma experiences and future expectations of adolescents significantly differed or not with respect to the gender, number of siblings, parents' marital status, educational level of the mother, educational status of the father, perceived economic condition, family structure, perceived school success and grade level variables, was examined. The population of the study consists of high school students studying in the central province of Elazığ during the Fall Term of 2015-2016 academic year. The sample of the study consists of a total of 408 high school students, 212 of whom are female and 196 male, studying in the central province of Elazığ during the Fall Term of 2015-2016 academic year. As the data collection instruments, the `Childhood Trauma Questionnaire Short Form (CTQ-SF)` to evaluate childhood trauma of the students, the `Adolescent Future Expectations Scale (AFES)` to evaluate future expectations of adolescents and the `Personal Information Form`, developed by the researcher, to determine the demographic features of the participants, were used in the study. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 20.00 statistics software through t Test, One Way Anova, Pearson's Product-Moment Correlation Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis, percentage and frequency. According to study results, childhood trauma experiences of adolescents are statistically, significantly and negatively related to their future expectations. It was also observed that adolescents are mostly expose to emotional neglect.Key Words: Adolescence, childhood trauma, future expectations.

Bu çalışma ergenlerin çocukluk çağı örselenme yaşantıları ile gelecek beklentileri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu genel amaç doğrultusunda ergenlerin çocukluk çağı örselenme yaşantıları ile gelecek beklentileri arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Ayrıca ergenlerin çocukluk çağı örselenme yaşantıları ve gelecek beklentilerinin cinsiyete, kardeş sayısına, anne babanın birliktelik durumuna, anne eğitim düzeyine, baba eğitim düzeyine, algılanan sosyoekonomik düzeye, aile yapısına, algılanan okul başarısına ve sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı bir farklılaşma olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2015-2016 eğitim- öğretim yılı II. döneminde Elazığ il merkezinde öğrenim görmekte olan lise öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise Elazığ il merkezinde 2015-2016 eğitim- öğretim yılı II. döneminde öğrenim görmekte olan 212'si kız, 196'sı erkek olmak üzere toplam 408 lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak öğrencilerin çocukluk çağı örselenme yaşantılarını ölçmek amacıyla `Çocukluk Dönemi Örselenme Yaşantıları Ölçeği Kısa Formu (ÇÖYÖ-KF)`, ergenlerin gelecek beklentilerini ölçmek amacıyla `Ergen Gelecek Beklentileri Ölçeği (EGBÖ)` ve öğrencilerin demografik özeliklerini belirlemek amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen `Kişisel Bilgi Formu` kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, SPSS 20.00 istatistik paket programında t Testi, Tek Yönlü Anova, Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Analizi, Çoklu Regresyon Analizi, yüzde ve frekanslar aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda çocukluk dönemi örselenme yaşantılarının gelecek beklentileri ile istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde negatif ilişkili olduğu saptanmıştır.Anahtar Sözcükler: Ergenlik, çocukluk çağı örselenme yaşantıları, gelecek beklentileri.
