The most important criterion for 112-110 emergency call is the time, which is between the arrival of the teams at the event location after the emergency call and the initiation of emergency response; and called as `response time`. One of the most significant problems affecting the response time is the difficulty arising from the station settlement location. Today's advanced information technologies and monitoring techniques are used commonly in detecting the station settlement location. One of the methods used for this purpose is the `Geographical Information Systems` (GIS). As the literature was reviewed, it was noticed that detecting the station settlement location was carried with GIS in some provinces in Turkey. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the Erzincan City Centre 112-110 Service stations, the coverage of service areas with the geographical information systems and detect the buffer area of the stations that will newly be constructed. The present research consists of the city centre of Erzincan and data were collected from the 112-110 Service Centre. To analyse the data in the ArcGIS, first, basic geographical data bases (map) were formed. Then, data were digitised in the same coordinate system and transferred into ArcGIS program. At the end of the research, the most appropriate ambulance and fire locations were recommended with the locational analysis functions of GIS.

112-110 Acil çağrıları için en önemli verimlilik ölçütü, acil yardım çağrısının yapılmasından sonra ekiplerin olay yerine ulaşması ile acil müdahalenin başlatılmasına kadar geçen ve `müdahale süresi` olarak adlandırılan zamandır. Müdahale süresini etkileyen en önemli sorunlardan biri istasyon yerleşim yerinden kaynaklanan sıkıntılardır. Günümüzde ileri bilgi teknolojileri ve görüntüleme yöntemleri istasyon yerleşim alanı belirlenmesi çalışmalarında yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu amaçla kullanılan yöntemlerden biri de `Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri` (CBS)'dir. Literatür incelendiğinde, Türkiye'de bulunan çeşitli illerde istasyon yerleşim yeri belirleme çalışmaları CBS kullanılarak yapıldığı görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada Erzincan Merkez 112-110 istasyonlarının, hizmet alanlarının kapsayıcılığının coğrafi bilgi sistemleri ile değerlendirilmesi ve yeni kurulacak olan istasyonların tampon alan tespitinin yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Mevcut araştırma Erzincan merkezini kapsamakta olup, veriler 112-110 Merkezinden elde edilmiştir. Verilerin ArcGIS'de sorgulanabilmesi için öncelikle temel coğrafi veri (harita) altlıkları oluşturulmuştur. Ardından veriler aynı koordinat sistemi içerisinde sayısallaştırılarak ArcGIS programına aktarılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda CBS'nin konumsal analiz fonksiyonları ile ambulans ve itfaiye istasyonları için en uygun yerler önerilmiştir.
