In recent years, in Turkey and all around the world, the importance of the service sector, which is popular as health tourism, is growing in a fast way. The need for health care has been shaped by changing people's demands and needs, and as a result, technological advances in medicine have changed. Health tourism, which is important for an increase in foreign capital for a country, identifies the gateway to the world market for the health sector. Undoubtedly, health tourism is a source of foreign currency for the economy of a country. Tourism in Turkey, as a result of some internal and external dynamics, such as global terrorism, has changed. Turkey, according to its resources and opportunities, has set strategic goals for the sector and has developed effective policies.This research is concerned with health tourism in Turkey. The content of the types of health tourism in Turkey for health tourism, potential, structuring reforms, sociology, geography and some achievements and activities, economics of health tourism includes the main factors research. health tourism is evaluated in an objective approach by qualitative research, theoretical knowledge, data obtained in the sector and induction method. Dünyada ve Türkiye'de, son yılların popüler hizmet sektörü olan sağlık turizminin önemi hızla artmaktadır. Sağlık hizmeti alma gereksinimi insanların değişen istek ve ihtiyaçlarına göre şekillenmiş, tıptaki teknolojik gelişmelerin sonucunda bazı değişimlere uğramıştır. Yabancı sermaye artırımında önemli olan sağlık turizmi, bir ülke için; sağlık sektörünün sunumunda dünya pazarına açılan kapısını niteler. Sağlık turizmini bu denli önemli kılan; şüphesiz, ülke ekonomisine döviz kaynağı olmasıdır. Türkiye'de turizm, küresel terörizm gibi bazı iç ve dış dinamiklere göre değişkenlik göstermiştir. Türkiye, kendi kaynak ve olanaklarına uygun, sektöre yönelik stratejik hedefler belirlemiş ve etkin politikalar geliştirmiştir. Çalışmanın odağını 'sağlık turizminin' Türkiye tespiti oluşturur. Türkiye'deki sağlık turizminin mevcut durumuna yönelik kısaca turizm, sağlık turizmi, türleri, potansiyeli, yapılanması, reformlar, sosyolojisi, coğrafyası, bazı önemli başarıları ve faaliyetleri ile sağlık turizminin ekonomik boyutu, araştırmanın ana hatlarını oluşturan konu ve kapsamındadır. Niteliksel araştırmanın çerçevesini biçimlendiren, teorik çalışmanın dayanağını oluşturan bilgi araçları; sektörle ilgili literatür taramasından elde edilen veriler, tümevarım yöntemi ile nesnel bir yaklaşım içinde değerlendirilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'deki sağlık turizminin mevcut durumunu ve ekonomik etkinliğini, elde edilen bilgiler ışığında farklı bir perspektifte ortaya koymaktır.
