Abstract

In this study, photon 6 (6MV) and photon 18 (18 MV) measurements of the linear accelerator used in patient treatment were made with the device designed by using electric linear actuator and arduino programmable card. In order to check the accuracy and continuity of these results, a measurement detector, the 0.13 cc ion chamber and dose1 electrometer were used.The results were compared with the reference values of the TPR20/10 that is obtained by water phantom measurements. These reference values are utilized during calibration processes of linear accelerator. The findings were evaluated and the accuracy of the measurement results were investigated. During this comparison, various correction factors were used in order to drive our measurement design more effectively and more swiftly. The system proposed in the thesis is more convenient, simpler, more effective and more economic than the conventionel radiotherapy dosimetry systems. The system used in the study, facilitates daily, monthly and yearly control of the user.

Bu çalışmada elektrikli lineer eyleyici ve arduino programlanabilir kart kullanılarak tasarlanan düzenek aracılığıyla hasta tedavisinde kullanılan lineer hızlandırıcı cihazının foton 6 (6MV) ve foton 18 (18 MV) enerjilerinin ölçümleri yapılmıştır. Bu sonuçların doğruluğunu ve sürekliliğini kontrol edebilmek için, ölçüm dedektörü olan 0.13 cc'lik iyon odası ve dose 1 elektrometre kullanılmıştır. Yapılan bu ölçümlerin sonuçları, lineer hızlandırıcının kalibrasyonu için referans değerler olarak kullanılan su fantomu ölçüm değerleri olan TPR20/10'un sonuçları ile karşılaştırılmış, alınan sonuçların değerlendirilmesi ve doğruluğu araştırılmıştır. Bu karşılaştırmada ortaya çıkan değerler düzeltme faktörü kullanılarak, ölçüm sisteminin daha etkin ve daha süratli kullanılmasına olanak sağlamıştır. Tezde önerilen sistem günümüzde rutin olarak kullanılan radyoterapi dozimetri sistemine kıyasla daha basit ve maliyet açısından daha uygundur. Çalışmada kullanılan bu sistem, kullanıcının günlük, aylık ve yıllık kontrollerini kolaylaştırmaktadır.
