The rapid advance of technology has made micro-nanotechnology applicationspopular and the applications of micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), whichhave an important place in this field, have increased in proportion. Radio Frequency(RF) applications belonging to MEMS group have gained importance especially in thefield of communication. Some of the most important reasons for this are features suchas very low insertion loss, very low power requirement and higher isolation usingsemiconductor switches. Thanks to these advantages they have become quite popular.In most of the work done for the design of RF MEMS devices, either static and fatiguecalculations are made, tensile stress voltage is calculated or production processes areexplained. By combining these 3 criteria, the number of studies for the most efficientswitch design and production is almost nonexistent in the literature. In this thesis, it isaimed to reveal a more effective RF beam switch by conducting a study with these 3criteria (static, fatigue analysis, tensile voltage calculation, production process) whichare missing in this thesis. In this design, the console type RF switch structure wasdesigned by taking parallel plate capacitors into consideration and the static voltage,fatigue analysis and analytically pull in voltage results were calculated with the finiteelement method. These analyzes are essential for the safe and long cycle operation ofthe beam type switch, which is constantly exposed to the cycle load. In addition,improvements have been made on geometry to make the structures examined moreefficient, thereby reducing fatigue life and pull in stress.

Teknolojinin hızla ilerlemesi mikro-nanoteknoloji uygulamalarını popüler halegetirmiştir ve bu alanda önemli bir yere sahip olan mikro-elektromekanik sistemlerin(MEMS) uygulamaları da doğru orantılı olarak artmıştır. MEMS grubuna ait RadyoFrekansı (RF) uygulamaları özellikle haberleşme alanında çok önem kazanmıştır.Bunun en önemli sebeplerinden birkaçı, çok düşük ekleme kaybı, çok düşük güçgereksinimi ve yarı iletken anahtarlar kullanılarak daha yüksek izolasyon elde etmegibi özellikleridir. Bu avantajları sayesinde oldukça popüler hale gelmişlerdir. RFMEMS cihazların tasarımı için yapılan çalışmaların çoğunda ya statik ve yorulmahesabı yapılmakta, ya çekme gerilme voltajı hesaplanmakta ya da üretim süreçlerianlatılmaktadır. Bu 3 kriter birleştirilerek en verimli anahtar tasarımı ve üretimi içinyapılan çalışma sayısı literatürde yok denecek kadar azdır. Bu tezde eksik olan bu 3kriterin de olduğu bir çalışma yaparak (statik, yorulma analizi, çekme voltaj hesabı,üretim prosesi) daha etkili bir RF kiriş anahtar ortaya koymak hedeflenmiştir. Butasarım da konsol tipi RF anahtar yapısının paralel plâka kapasitörleri göz önünealınarak tasarımı gerçekleştirilmiş ve sonlu elemanlar yöntemi ile statik analizi,yorulma analizi ve analitik olarak da çekme voltajı sonuçları hesaplanmıştır. Buanalizler devamlı yüke maruz kalan kiriş tipi anahtarın güvenli bir şekilde ve dahauzun döngüde çalışması için oldukça önemlidir. Ayrıca incelenen yapıların dahaverimli hale gelmesi için geometri üzerinde iyileştirmeler yapılarak yorulma ömründe,çekme gerilmesinde azalma sağlanmıştır.
