Partial laryngectomy affects the basic life functions of patients such as breathing, swallowing, speech and social interaction. These effects interfere with the patient's quality of life and bring daily restrictions on the patient's life. The aim of this study was to investigate swallowing and voice problems and the effects on quality of life in patients with partial laryngectomy.The swallowing evaluation, acoustic analysis, maximum phonation time, s/z ratio, laryngeal evaluation, SF-36, VHI and DHI results of 46 male participants in the 38-73(mean 60.9±6.6) age range who had partial laryngectomy with open surgery(20 SGPL, 10 SCPL and 16 VPL) were examined.The swallowing evaluation with FEES, the acoustic voice analyzes performed with MDVP and the maximum phonation time was statistically significant among the specific groups(p<0,05). It was found that the postoperative time didn't affect the swallowing and voice functions and radiotherapy was effective on swallowing results. There was no significant difference in the SF-36, VHI-10 and DHI scales comparisons (p>0.05).As a result of the study, it was thought that SGPL surgery may have more negative effects on swallowing functions. As a result of voice evaluations, it was observed that the problems related to sound were higher in the SCPL than in the other groups. As shown at the result of the study, swallowing and voice disorders seen after partial laryngectomy vary with the treatment methods. Parsiyel larenjektomi sonrası hastaların solunum, yutma, konuşma ve sosyal etkileşim gibi temel yaşam fonksiyonlarında etkilenmeler görülmektedir. Bu etkilenmeler hastanın yaşam kalitesine müdahale ederek hasta yaşamına günlük kısıtlamalar getirmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, parsiyel larenjektomili hastalarda ameliyat sonrasında ortaya çıkan yutma ve ses problemlerini ve bu problemlerin hastaların yaşam kalitesini üzerine yarattığı etkileri araştırmaktır. Açık cerrahi ile parsiyel larenjektomi (20 SGPL, 10 SCPL ve 16 VPL) yapılan 38-73 (ort. 60,9±6,6) yaş aralığındaki 46 erkek katılımcının; yutma değerlendirme, akustik analiz, maksimum fonasyon süresi, s/z oranı, larengeal değerlendirme, SF-36, VHI ve DHI sonuçları incelendi. Tüm katılımcıların FEES ile yapılan yutma değerlendirmesinde, MDVP ile yapılan akustik ses analizlerinde ve maksimum fonasyon süresinde belirli gruplar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlılık bulundu (p<0,05). Ameliyattan sonra geçen sürenin yutma ve ses fonksiyonlarını etkilemediği, radyoterapinin ise gruplar arasındaki yutma sonuçları üzerinde etkili olduğu bulundu. SF-36, VHI-10 ve DHI ölçekleriyle yapılan karşılaştırmalarda istatistiksel olarak anlamlılık saptanmadı (p>0,05).Çalışma sonucunda SGPL cerrahisinin yutma fonksiyonları üzerinde daha fazla olumsuz etkiye neden olabileceği tespit edildi. Ses değerlendirmeleri sonucunda ise SCPL grubunda ses ile ilgili problemlerin diğer gruplara oranla daha fazla olduğu gözlemlendi. Çalışma sonucunda da gösterildiği gibi parsiyel larenjektomi sonrası görülen yutma ve ses bozuklukları tedavi yöntemleriyle ilişkili olarak değişmektedir.
