In this thesis, intimidation (mobbing) cases in the workplace; together with self-esteem, conflict tendency, procedural justice and trauma dimensions were examined and the relationship between each variable was investigated. Convenience sampling method was chosen while forming the sample in this study; the sample consisted of the employees who were working in various service branches in public or private sectors residing in Istanbul, 273 of them are workers who are victims of mobbing in workplace and 212 of them are workers who are not victims of mobbing in workplace (control group). In terms of gender, mobbing victim group consists of 65 males, 208 females; another group who are not victim of mobbing consists of 75 males, 137 females; regarding to the educational level, 37 people have high school and associate degree; 157 people have bachelor's degree, and 29 people have postgraduate degree. The participants have a minimum of one year employment period and meet the criteria of being a victim of mobbing for at least six months.As a result of the research, self esteem, procedural justice perception, and conflict tendency score levels were statistically different between the group of mobbing victims in the workplace and control group (to the detriment of mobbing victims); all scale scores, including the mobbing scale in both groups, did not show a significant difference in terms of gender; there was no significant difference in mobbing rates in workplace in terms of variables such as education, age, working span, and marital status; there was a positive correlation between the number of perpetrators and the level of mobbing score; and the prolongation of the mobbing process statistically increased the mobbing score level; on the other hand, the negative correlation between self-esteem and conflict tendency; self-esteem and mobbing in the workplace; procedural justice perception and mobbing score level revealed that 22 of 273 mobbing victims were found to meet the criteria for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Bu tez çalışmasında işyerinde yıldırma (mobbing) olgusu; benlik saygısı, çatışma eğilimi, işlemsel adalet ve travma boyutlarıyla birlikte ele alınmış, her bir değişkenin birbiriyle ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada örneklem oluştururken kolayda örneklem yöntemi seçilmiş, örneklem, İstanbul İlinde ikamet eden, kamu veya özel sektörden çeşitli hizmet kollarında çalışmakta olan, 273 işyerinde yıldırma mağduru ve 212 işyerinde yıldırma mağduru olmayan çalışan kişiden (kontrol grubu) oluşmaktadır. Cinsiyet açısından; işyerinde yıldırma grubu 65 erkek, 208 kadından; işyerinde yıldırma mağduru olmayan grup, 75 erkek, 137 kadından oluşmakta; eğitim düzeyi açısından; işyerinde yıldırma grubu, 37 kişi lise ve ön lisans, 153 kişi lisans, 83 kişi lisans üstü; işyerinde yıldırma mağduru olmayan grup; 26 kişi lise ve ön lisans, 157 kişi lisans, 29 kişi lisans üstü eğitim düzeyindedir. Katılımcılar; en az bir yıl çalışma süresine sahip olup, en az altı ay yıldırma mağduru olma kriterini karşılamaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda işyerinde yıldırma mağduru olan grup ile kontrol grubu arasında benlik saygısı, işlemsel adalet algısı, çatışma eğilimi puan düzeylerinin istatistiksel açıdan (yıldırma mağdurlarının aleyhine) ileri derecede farklı olduğu; cinsiyet açısından her iki grupta işyerinde yıldırma ölçeği de dahil tüm ölçek puan düzeylerinin anlamlı bir fark göstermediği; işyerinde yıldırma düzeyinin; eğitim, yaş, çalışma süresi ve medeni hal gibi değişkenler açısından anlamlı bir fark göstermediği; fail sayısı ile yıldırma puan düzeyi arasında pozitif bir korelasyon olduğu, yıldırma sürecinin uzamasının yıldırma puan düzeyinin artmasına neden olduğu istatistiksel olarak ortaya konmuş; diğer yandan benlik saygısıyla çatışma eğilimi, benlik saygısıyla işyerinde yıldırma arasında negatif yönlü bir korelasyonun varlığı, işlemsel adalet algısı ile yıldırma puan düzeyi arasında negatif yönlü bir korelasyonun varlığı; 273 işyerinde yıldırma mağdurun 22'sinin Travma Sonrası Stres Bozukluğu kriterlerini karşıladığı ortaya konmuştur.
