In todays world, increasing enviromental problems pose a serious threat to reach remarkable degrees. Therefore, one of the environmental problem that greenhouse gas effect to global warming and urban heat island was evaluated. Greenhouse gas is the one of the enviromantal problems.Global warming and urban heat ısland which occur greenhouse gases are the enviromental problems that are evaluation within scope of this study. Urban surface heat ısland have been evaluated in this study. On the scale of city-building, as a result of the implementation cool roof or green roof, is able to reduce urban heat ısland effect.Key Words: Greenhouse Gas, Global Warming, Urban Heat Island,Sustainability, Green Roof, Cool Roof.

Artan çevre sorunları günümüzde hissedilebilir bir dereceye ulaşarak ciddi bir tehdit oluşturmaktadır. Çevresel sorunlardan biri olan sera gazı, sera gazının etkisiyle oluşan küresel ısınma ve kentsel ısı adası bu çalışma kapsamında değerlendirilen çevresel sorunlardandır. Çalışmanın çözüm önerileri olarak geliştirilen kentsel yüzey ısı adaları, kent-yapı ölçeğinde çatı yüzeylerinin yeşil çatı ya da serin çatı olarak uygulanması sonucunda kentsel ısı adası etkisinin azaltılmasını sağlayabilirler.Anahtar Kelimeler: Sera Gazı, Küresel Isınma, Kentsel Isı Adası,Sürdürülebilirlik, Yeşil Çatı, Serin Çatı.
