One of the most important factors of the consumer economy is the retail sector. Developments in the retail sector have the ability to reflect the country's economy and the purchasing power of the public. when When we examine the developments of organized retail industry in Turkey, the most important role is that shopping centers evolution. Shopping centers that contribute to the development of organized retail not only play a major role in the consumption but also in the socialization of the community.In Turkey, Shopping centers' concepts and shopping areas' features play a major role in consumers' shopping center prefences.In the first chapter, consumption and consumer preferences and consumer behaviors are emphasized. The decision-making processes of consumers are examined.In the second part, the concepts of retail sector and organized retail are emphasized. Tüketim ekonomisinin en önemli faktörlerinden biri perakende sektörüdür. Perakende sektöründeki gelişmeler ülke ekonomisini ve halkın satın alım gücünü yansıtma özelliğine sahiptir. Bu gelişmeler incelendiğinde organize perakende sektörünün Türkiye'de gelişmesinde en önemli rol alışveriş merkezlerindedir. Üçüncü bölümde, geçmişten geleceğe alışveriş merkezleri tipleri ve gelişimleri incelenmiş, alışveriş merkezi konseplerinin gidişatı araştırılmıştır.Dördüncü bölümde, tüketicilerin alışveriş merkezi tercihlerindeki AVM konseptlerinin önemi araştırılmış, AVM nesillerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Beşinci bölümde ise, sonuç ve öneriler paylaşılmıştır.
