Mortality of cervical cancer, one of the cancers that can be diagnosed early, isquite high when not diagnosed early. The relationship between cervical cancer andHPV is tighter than the relationship between lung cancer and smoking. HPV is asexually transmitted infection agent and is seen in our country and all over the world.Pap smear test and HPV-DNA tests are frequently used in early diagnosis. HPVinfection is associated with factors such as age at first sexual intercourse, smoking,oral contraceptive use, condon use, parity, number of sexual partners, socioeconomicstatus.The aim of this study was to c investigate the presence of HPV-DNA in thecervical samples and the factors affecting it in women who applied to Bağlar FamilyHealth Center. The sample of the study consisted of 50 sexually active and clinicallyasymptomatic women aged 30-65 years who agreed to participate in the study. Theresearch data and samples were collected between 01 October 2018-31 March 2019at Bağlar Family Health Center. The demographic and personal information of thewomen participating in the study, such as educational status, economic status, maritalstatus, occupation, number of pregnancies, age of coit, menstrual cycle, preventionmethod were recorded.As a result of the study, the frequency of HPV-DNA was determined as 6%(3/50). Two sample is typed as HPV 16 and one sample is typed as HPV 31. Whenthe factors affecting HPV-DNA positivity were examined; HPV-DNA positivity wasfound between age of first coit, number of pregnancies and prevention method. Withthis study, the data about the frequency of HPV-DNA in cervical specimens wereobtained from Karabük province for the first time.Key words: Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) DNA, Cervical cancer, Pap smear test,HPV-DNA test.

Erken tanı koyulabilen kanserlerden biri olan servikal kanserin, erken tanıkoyulamadığında mortalitesi oldukça yüksektir. Serviks kanseri ile HPV arasındakiilişki, akciğer kanseri ile sigara arasındaki ilişkiden daha sıkı bir ilişkidir. HPV cinselyolla bulaşan bir enfeksiyon etkeni olup ülkemizde ve tüm dünyada görülmektedir.Erken tanıda sıklıkla kullanılan yöntemler Pap smear testi ve HPV-DNA testleridir.İlk cinsel ilişki yaşı, sigara kullanımı, oral kontraseptif kullanımı, kondon kullanımı,parite sayısı, cinsel partner sayısı, sosyo ekonomik durum gibi faktörler ile HPVenfeksiyonu arasında ilişki bulunmaktadır.Bu çalışma Bağlar Aile Sağlığı Merkezi'ne başvuran kadınlardan alınan servikalsürüntü örneklerinde HPV DNA varlığının ve etkileyen faktörlerin araştırılmasıamacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 30-65 yaş arası cinsel aktif ve klinik olarak asemptomatik 50 kadın oluşturmuştur.Araştırma verileri ve örnekler 01 Ekim 2018-31 Mart 2019 tarihleri arasında, BağlarAile Sağlığı Merkezinde toplanmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan kadınların, eğitim durumu,ekonomik durum, medeni hal, meslek, gebelik sayısı, koit yaşı, menstrual döngü,korunma yöntemi gibi demografik ve kişisel bilgileri kaydedilmiştir.Çalışma sonucunda HPV-DNA sıklığı %6 (3/50) olarak tespit edilmiş olup ikiörnek HPV 16; bir örnek HPV 31 olarak tiplendirilmiştir. HPV-DNA pozitifliğinietkileyen faktörler incelendiğinde; ilk koit yaşı, gebelik sayısı ve korunma yöntemiile HPV-DNA pozitifliği arasında ilişki bulunmuştur. Bu çalışma ile servikalörneklerde HPV DNA sıklığı ile ilgili Karabük ilinden ilk kez veri elde edilmiştir.
