In this study, processed image by edge detection method is trained with using ResNet network for image classification and applied on 4 axis robot arm. The images obtained from the camera are processed by the newly developed edge detection method. Although this edge detection method is developed for better edge detection in geometric objects, it works well on popular images used in image processing. After the images are processed by the edge detection method, these images are trained with the ResNet network. Training data is transferred to the Matlab Gui program, which is used for object classification. Robot arm used for object classification process was created by us with 3D printer based using the 3D drawing of the robot developed by BCN3D company. The kinematic calculations were transferred to Matlab Simulink and tested both in the simulation environment and in the physical environment. This image is categorized by the network that has been before trained and the middle point is determined at that moment. The object locations determined at the midpoint are transformed into positions in the robot arm workspace. These locations are transformed into the axes angles obtained by inverse kinematics and these angles are transmitted to the microcontroller used for robot arm control. The object is taken from that position and left to the previously determined object box.Newly produced edge detection method images have been trained on the ResNet network and the classification results obtained are used in the robot decision mechanism. In this thesis study, the usability of the method classifying the trained method by using the edge detection method of the picture obtained from the camera is also tested. In the first test, the images obtained from the camera are first trained with AlexNet, GoogleNet and ResNet networks. In the second test, the same images are processed with the newly developed edge detection method and trained with AlexNet, GoogleNet and ResNet networks. The results obtained were compared and it was determined that the training results of the newly developed edge detection method are more successful than the unprocessed images.

Bu çalışmada, kenar tanıma metodu ile işlenmiş resimler ResNet ağı ile eğitilerek cisim sınıflandırma işlemi yapılmış ve 4 eksenli robot kol üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Kameradan elde edilen görüntüler yeni geliştirilen kenar tanıma metodu ile işlenmektedir. Bu kenar tanıma metodu geometrik objelerde daha iyi kenar tanıma işleminin yapılması için geliştirilmesine rağmen görüntü işlemede kullanılan popüler resimlerde de başarıyla çalışmaktadır. Resimler kenar tanıma metodu ile işlendikten sonra ResNet ağı ile eğitilmiştir. Eğitim verileri cisim sınıflandırma işlemi için kullanılan Matlab Gui programına aktarılmaktadır. Cisim sınıflandırma işlemi için kullanılan robot kol BCN3D firması tarafından geliştirilen robotun 3 boyutlu çizimleri baz alınarak 3D yazıcı ile tarafımızdan oluşturulmuştur. Kinematik hesapları Matlab Simulink'e aktarılarak hem simülasyon ortamında hemde fiziki ortamda çalışması test edilmiştir. İşlenen bu resim daha önce eğitimi yapılan ağ ile sınıflandırılmakta ve cismin o anki konumunda orta noktası belirlenmektedir. Orta noktası belirlenen cismin konumları robot kolun çalışma uzayındaki konumlarına dönüştürülür. Bu konumlar ters kinematik ile elde edilen eksen açılarına dönüştürülmekte ve bu açı değerleri robot kolun kontolü için kullanılan mikrodenetleyiciye iletilmektedir. Cisim o anki konumundan alınarak daha önce belirlenen ilgili cisim kutusuna bırakılır.Yeni ürettiğimiz kenar tanıma yöntemiyle işlenmiş resimler ResNet ağıyla eğitilip elde edilen sınıflandırma sonuçları robotun karar mekanızmasında kullanılmıştır. Tezimizde kameradan elde edilen görüntünün kenar tanıma metodu ile işlenerek eğitilmesi yönteminin cisim sınıflandırma işlemi için kullanılabilirliği de test edilmiştir. Birinci testte öncelikle kameradan elde edilen görüntüler AlexNet, GoogleNet ve ResNet ağları ile eğitilmektedir. İkinci testte ise aynı resimler yeni geliştirilen kenar tanıma metodu ile işlenerek AlexNet, GoogleNet ve ResNet ağları ile eğitilmektedir. Elde edilen sonuçlar karşılaştırılmıştır ve karşılaştırma sonucunda yeni geliştirdiğimiz kenar tanıma metodu ile işlenmiş resimlerin eğitim sonuçlarının işlenmemiş resimlere göre daha başarılı olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
