Background and Aim: Electronic prescribing (e-prescribing) is a type of health information technology that allows prescribers to send secure, error-free and understandable electronic prescriptions directly to pharmacies using specific software. E-prescribing benefits to reduction in medication errors, improvement on the quality of patient care, prevention of adverse drug events and improvement of efficiency for pre-scribers and pharmacists. Although the overall goal of electronic prescribing is to enhance efficiency and safety while decreasing costs and improving quality of care, use of the technology does introduce the potential for new medication safety concerns, workflow disruptions, and other challenges. In this study we aim to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the new e-prescription system in routine utilization. Moreover we aim to measure the success of e-prescription system via information quality, system use, user satisfaction and net system benefit, additionally to measure the benefit and perceived usefulness of e-prescription system according to physicians.Methods: This study was performed between 01.10.2016-01.11.2016 with the number of 137 family physicians' participation who have served in Kahramanmaraş province. Socio-demographic form and the questionnaire prepared by researches to evaluate the success of e-prescription system and perception of physicians were applied. Success of information systems assessed by Clinical Information Systems Success Model and Technology Acceptance Model which were developed in association with the DeLone and McLean Model of Information Systems Success' updated (2003) version.Results: One hundred and five physicians were participated in the study. Of them, 91(86.7%) of whom were practitioners. The 87(82,9%) of the participants state that they would prefer e-prescribing instead of handwritten prescriptions and 81(77.1%) of the physicians in our study reported that e-prescribing eliminated some handwritten prescription originating issues with pharmacy. System errors were the most frequent 75(72,8%) problems related to e-prescribing in our study. The system quality, information quality, service quality, usage intention, perceived usage simplicity, perceived benefit, net system benefit and resistance group detected with a higher reliability, moreover adoption group detected with better reliability. Furthermore usage intention and perceived benefit scores were statistically higher in physicians who prefer e-prescribing instead of handwritten prescriptions than physicians prefered handwritten prescriptions.Conclusions: Our findings demonstrated that e-prescribing improves efficiency, accuracy, medication quality and patient safety. Furthermore it clearly enhanced user and patient satisfaction. Additionally in-service training of staff and routine integration of the e-prescribing platforms with decision support and alert systems would certainly contribute to provide higher benefit from e-prescription application.Key words: family physician, electronic prescription; e-prescribing; health information technology; health communication.

Giriş ve Amaç: Elektronik reçetelendirme hekime güvenli, minimum hata içerikli ve okunaklı reçete yazmayı ve spesifik yazılımlar yoluyla direkt olarak eczanelere göndermeyi sağlayan sağlık bilgi teknolojilerinin bir türüdür. E-reçetelendirme ilaç hatalarının azaltılması, hasta bakımı kalitesinin geliştirilmesi, advers ilaç olaylarının önlenmesi ve reçeteleyen ile eczacının verimliliğinin arttırılmasına fayda sağlar. Her ne kadar e-reçetelendirme ile asıl hedeflenen maliyeti düşürürken verilen hizmetin kalitesinin, güvenilirliğinin ve verimliliğinin arttırılması olsa da teknolojinin kullanımı ile yeni ilaç güvenlik kaygıları, iş akışı aksamaları ve diğer birtakım zoluklar ile karşılaşılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada e-reçete uygulamasının, pratikteki kullanımı ile avantaj ve dezavantajları değerlendirilerek, e-reçete sisteminin başarısının bilgi kalitesi, sistem kalitesi, sistem kullanımı, kullanıcı memnuniyeti ve net fayda faktörleri aracılığıyla ölçümü ve hekimlerin e-reçete sistemine karşı algınan fayda ve kullanılabilirlik ölçümü yapılması amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve yöntem: Çalışma 01.10.2016-01.11.2016 tarihleri arasında Kahramanmaraş il merkezindeki görev yapmakta olan toplam 137 aile hekiminin 105'ine araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen sosyodemografik bilgi formu ve e-reçete bilgi sistemi başarısı ve hekim algısını sorgulayan anket uygulandı. Bilişim Sistemleri başarısının ölçümünde DeLone ve McLean'in (2003) güncellenmiş Bilişim Sistemleri Başarı Modeli üzerine geliştirilmiş Klinik Bilgi Sistemleri Başarı Modeli ve Teknoloji Kabul Modeli kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmamıza %86.7'si pratisyen hekim olan 105 hekim katılmıştır. Katılımcıların %82.9'u e-reçeteyi, klasik kağıt reçeteye tercih edeceklerini ve %77,1'i eczane ile yaşanan kağıt reçete kaynaklı problemlerin e-reçete yardımıyla aşılabildiğini bildirmişlerdir. Sistem hataları e-reçete kullanımı sırasında karşılaşılan en sık sorun (%72,8) olarak tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmamızda Cronbach Alfa Geçerlilik Güvernirlilik puanları sistem kalitesi 0,925, bilgi kalitesi 0,905, hizmet kalitesi 0,913, kullanıcı niyeti 0,883, algılanan kullanım kolaylığı 0,965, algılanan fayda 0,952, net fayda 0,958 ve direnç grubu 0,857 yüksek güvenirlilikte, benimseme grubu ise 0,618 iyi güvenirlilikte saptanmıştır.Sonuç: Çalışmamızda elde edilen bulgular elektronik reçeteye adaptasyonun rutin uygulamada verimliliği, etkinliği, hizmet kalitesinin ve hasta güvenliğini geliştirdiğini, ayrıca çalışan ve hasta memnuniyetinin arttırdığını açıkca göstermektedir. Bununla beraber hizmet içi eğitimlerin sıklaştırılıp karar destek ve uyarıcı platformaların entegrasyonu sağlanması ile sistemden en yüksek seviyede fayda sağlanacağı şüphesizdir.Anahtar Kelimeler: aile hekimliği; elektronik reçete; e-reçetelendirme; sağlık bilgi teknolojileri; sağlıkta iletişim.
