The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of porcelain repair system applied with different surface treatment methods on the shear bond strength of zirconia ceramics fracture.In this study, 80 zirconium discs which is 7 mm diameter and 3 mm height were used. The specimens were divided into 5 groups randomly (n:16). The specimens were placed in acrylic blocks before surface treatment was applied. After all the specimens were cleaned in the ultrasonic cleaner different surface methods (laser, air flow, diamond bur) were applied to the specimens. Specimens were grouped as follows: Group A (Air flow treatment), Group E (Er YAG laser), Group F (surface conditioning under water cooling with diamond burs), Group N (Nd YAG laser), Group K (control group). After surface conditioning, the surface roughness were measured with profilometer and SEM images were taken from each group. After surface conditioning the elemental composition of specimens was evaluated by energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDS). Subsequently, composite discs (5 mm in diameter and 2 mm in length) were prepared by means of an incremental technique using a porcelain repair system on the surface of the specimens. The shear bond strength of all specimens were evaluated by a universal test device and the datas were recorded. Specimens were examined by stereo microscope and classified according to the fracture types (adhesive, cohesive and combined). Shear bond strength and surface roughness' data were evaluated by One-Way ANOVA and Tukey test statistically.According to the surface roughness values obtained with the profilometer device, difference was found between the groups (p=0,035). There were significant difference between the surface roughness values of Group F and Group A. The highest roughness value was Group F while the lowest roughness value was Group A. There was no significant difference between the other groups (p>0.05). The surface roughness of Group F in SEM evaluation was found high than in the other groups, similar to the values obtained with the profilemeter. According to the results of EDS analysis, it was observed that after the surface conditioning, the element proportions of the specimens changed. There was a significant difference between the groups according to the results of the shear bond test. The highest shear bond strength values were measured as Group N. The most number of cohesive fractures was as group N.Surface conditioning with diamond bur increased surface roughness in zirconium specimens. Surface conditioning with Nd-YAG laser was ıncreased the shear bond strength of zirconium ceramics in repairing with composite resin. The increase in surface roughness of zirconium did not increase the bonding strength of the porcelain repair system.

Bu çalışmanın amacı; zirkonyum seramiklerde karşılaşılan kırıklarda farklı yüzey işlemleriyle uygulanan porselen tamir sisteminin kesme bağlanma dayanımına etkisini araştırmaktır.Bu çalışmada 7 mm çapında ve 3 mm yüksekliğinde 80 adet zirkonyum disk kullanıldı. Örnekler rastgele 5 gruba ayrıldı (n:16). Yüzey işlemi uygulanmadan önce örnekler akrilik bloklar içerisine gömüldü. Ultrasonik temizleyicide tüm örnekler temizlendikten sonra farklı yüzey işlemleri uygulandı (lazer, air flow, elmas frezle pürüzlendirme). Örnekler Grup A (air flow işlemi), Grup E (Er YAG lazer), Grup F (elmas frez ile su soğutması altında yüzey işlemi), Grup N (Nd YAG lazer), Grup K (kontrol grubu) olmak üzere gruplara ayrıldı. Yüzey işlemlerinden sonra yüzey pürüzlülüğünü değerlendirmek için profilometre cihazı ile ölçüm yapıldı ve her gruptan SEM görüntüsü alındı. Yüzey işlemi uygulanmış örneklerin elemental bileşimi enerji dağılımlı x-ışını spektrometresi (EDS) ile değerlendirildi. Daha sonra, örneklerin yüzeyine porselen tamir sistemi kullanılarak kompozit diskler (5 mm çap, 2 mm yükseklik) inkremental teknikle hazırlandı. Universal test cihazında tüm örneklerin kesme bağlanma dayanımı değerlendirildi ve elde edilen veriler kaydedildi. Örnekler stereo mikroskop ile incelendi ve kırık tiplerine göre sınıflandırıldı (adeziv, koheziv ve kombine). Kesme bağlanma kuvveti verileri ve yüzey pürüzlülük değerleri Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi ve Tukey Testi ile istatistiksel olarak değerlendirildi. Profilometre cihazı ile elde edilen yüzey pürüzlülük değerlerine göre gruplar arasında fark vardı (p=0,035). Grup F ile Grup A'nın yüzey pürüzlülük değerleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulundu. En yüksek pürüzlülük değeri Grup F' de iken, en düşük pürüzlülük değeri Grup A'da görüldü. Diğer gruplar arasında anlamlı fark görülmedi (p>0,05). SEM incelemesinde Grup F'deki yüzey pürüzlülüğünün, profilometre cihazıyla elde edilen değerlerle benzer şekilde diğer gruplardan daha fazla olduğu görüldü. EDS analizi sonuçlarına göre yüzey işlemlerinden sonra örnek yüzeylerindeki element oranlarının değiştiği görüldü. Kesme bağlanma testinin sonucuna göre gruplar arasında anlamlı bir fark bulundu (p=0,009). En yüksek bağlanma dayanımı değerleri Grup N'de ölçüldü. En çok koheziv kırık tipi Grup N'de görüldü. Elmas frezle yapılan yüzey işlemi zirkonyum örneklerde yüzey pürüzlülüğünü arttırdı. Nd-YAG lazer ile yüzey işlemi; zirkonyum seramiklerin kompozit rezinle tamir işleminde bağlantı dayanımını arttırdı. Zirkonyum seramiklerde yüzey pürüzlülüğünün artışı, porselen tamir sisteminin bağlanma dayanımını artırmadı.
