Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the motivation of sportsmen with physical disabilities.Material and Method: The athletic branch consists of 35 athletes, 96 athletes from the football branch and 199 athletes with a capacity of 68 athletes. In order to determine the motivation motives of physically disabled athletes, the `Participation of Motivation Questionnaire` sport scale was applied.Results: There was no significant difference between the groups according to their educational status (p> 0.05). When the participation of athletes in sports according to their disability was examined, the scores of the disabled individuals were found to be higher in the subscale of the friends (p=0.030). When the participation motivation motives of physical athletes with physical disabilities were examined, the friendship subscale scores of the athletes who did not work were found to be high (p=0.034). When the participation motivation motives of the participants according to their marital status were compared, the scores of those who were single (single) were found to be higher than those who were married with their family (p<0.05).Conclusion: It can be said that the motivation of friendship of athletes with physical disabilities is active. Moreover, it can be said that disabled athletes living alone prefer to do sports to socialize. It is recommended to increase the sportive activities for disabled people. In this way, it can be said that it can be easier to integrate disabled people with society.Keywords: Disabled; Physical disabilities; Participation in sports; Sport.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı bedensel engelli sporcuların spora katılım güdüsünü araştırmaktır.Materyal ve Metot: Çalışmaya atletizm branşından 35 sporcu, futbol branşından 96, tekerlekli basketbol branşından 68 sporcu olmak üzere 199 bedensel engelli sporcu oluşturmaktadır. Bedensel engelli sporcuların spora katılım güdülerini tespit edebilmek amacıyla `Spora Katılım Güdüsü` ölçeği uygulanmıştır.Bulgular: Katılımcıların eğitim durumlarına göre spora katılım güdüleri karşılaştırıldığında gruplar arasında farklılık bulunmamıştır (p>0,05). Sporcuların engelli olma durumuna göre spora katılım güdüleri incelendiğinde sonradan engelli olanların arkadaş alt boyutunda puanları yüksek bulunmuştur (p=0,030). Bedensel engelli sporcuların çalışma durumlarına göre spora katılım güdüleri incelendiğinde çalışmayan sporcuların arkadaşlık alt boyutu puanları yüksek bulunmuştur (p=0,034). Katılımcıların medeni durumlarına göre spora katılım güdüleri karşılaştırıldığında `başarı/statü`, `fiziksel uygunluk/enerji harcama`, `beceri gelişimi`, `hareket/aktif olma` alt boyutunda bekar (yalnız yaşayanlar) olanların puanları ailesi ile yaşayanlar ile evli olanlardan yüksek bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Sonuç: Bedensel engelli sporcuların spora katılımında arkadaşlık güdüsünün aktif olduğu söylenebilir. Ayrıca tek başına yaşayan engelli sporcuların sosyalleşebilmek için spor yapmayı tercih ettikleri söylenebilir. Engelli bireylere yönelik sportif aktivitelerin arttırılması önerilmektedir. Bu sayede engelli bireylerin toplumla kaynaşmasının daha kolay olabileceği söylenebilir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Bedensel engelli; Engelliler; Spor; Spora katılım.
