Today's Internet architecture uses the TCP / IP protocol stack for communications between machines, which was proposed a long time ago. This protocol and architectural structure is inadequate due to the widening of the IoT network with a large number of internate connected objects, and it is difficult to adequately meet the needs. For this reason, a large number of architectural models with various terminologies have been proposed because of the decentralized heterogeneous structure and large amount of data to be generated in an IoT network.In this study, general and special purpose architectural models in the literature have been investigated and a new tiered architectural model has been proposed to help understand the IoT structure, assist in the creation of a common IoT architecture framework, and assist in designing concrete IoT systems by systematizing the architectural design.

Günümüz internet yapısı, uzun zaman önce önerilen, makineler arasındaki iletişim için TCP / IP protokol yığıtını kullanmaktadır. Çok sayıda internete bağlı nesne ile birlikte IoT ağının daha da geniş bir hal almasıyla bu protokol ve mimari yapı yetersiz kalmakta ve ihtiyaçları yeterince karşılamakta güçlük çekmektedir. Bu nedenle, çok sayıda nesnenin bağlı olduğu bir IoT ağında büyük miktarda veri üretilecek olması ve merkezi olmayan heterojen bir yapının olmasından dolayı çeşitli terminolojilere sahip çok sayıda mimari model önerilmiştir.Bu çalışmada, literatürdeki genel ve özel amaçlı mimari modeller taranmış ve IoT yapısının anlaşılmasını sağlamak, ortak bir IoT mimari çerçevesinin oluşturulmasına yardımcı olmak ve mimari tasarımını sistemleştirerek somut IoT sistemlerinin tasarlanması konusunda yardımcı olmak amacıyla yeni, katmanlı bir mimari model önerilmiştir.
