Ankara, 2019.Health tourism refers to the tourism activities performed within the scope of `health` which is evaluated as the most important reason directing people to travel for touristic purpose. Within the scope of these activities, individuals expect the meeting of their demands to regain their lost health or to protect their health for much longer. The relationship between health and tourism is considered as a relationship with both positive and negative aspects. Health tourism provides many benefits to countries both in concrete and abstract terms. One of the biggest obstacles to health tourism is expressed as the need for `emotional security`.As a result, health tourism is a service activity that requires ethical responsibilities for the two countries which both send patient and treat patient. In this context, fundamental principles such as ethics, respect, not giving harm, doing favor and justice should be considered in health tourism.The main purpose of this research, within the context of the `Patient Rights and Ethical Issues in Health Tourism`, is to determine the concepts and processes of health, tourism, health tourism and international health services with certain dimensions, to evaluate health tourism within the scope of world samples and to examine patient rights and ethical values in health tourism. In this study, descriptive research method was used. The questionnaire applied as the main tool in data collection has two different scales; one was used to measure views on patient rights in health tourism, and the other was used to measure views on ethical issues in health tourism. The population of this study included medical tourism patients in Turkey. Among these medical tourism patients, 125 who agreed to participate in the study comprised the study sample. It was found that there were significant relations with between `age group`, and `patients rights` and `ethical issues`, and between `hospital type`, and `patients rights` and `ethical issues`. On the other hand, there was no relation between these aforementioned dependent variables and sex, marital status, and education level.The issues that need to be developed regarding patient rights are; informing and providing adequate answers to the questions of the patients. Ankara, 2019.Sağlık turizmi, insanları turistik amaçlı seyahat etmeye yönelten en önemli neden olarak değerlendirilen `sağlık` kapsamında gerçekleştirilen turizm etkinliklerini ifade etmektedir. Bu etkinlikler dâhilinde bireyler, ya kaybolan sağlıklarını tekrar kazanabilmek adına ya da sağlıklarını çok daha uzun süreli koruyabilmek için taleplerinin karşılanmasını beklemektedirler. Sağlık ve turizm ilişkisi, hem olumlu hem olumsuz yönleri olan bir ilişki olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Sağlık turizmi, hem somut hem de soyut anlamda ülkelere birçok fayda sağlamaktadır.Sağlık turizminin önündeki en büyük engellerden biri de, `duygusal güvenlik` ihtiyacı olarak ifade edilmektedir. Sonuç olarak sağlık turizmi hasta gönderen ve hasta tedavi eden ülkeler için etik sorumluluklar gerektiren bir hizmet faaliyetidir. Bu bağlamda da sağlık turizminde etik; saygı, bilerek zarar vermeme, iyilik yapma ve adalet gibi temel prensiplerin gözetilmesini gerektirmektedir.Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, `Sağlık Turizminde Hasta Hakları ve Etik Sorunsalı` bağlamında; sağlık, turizm, sağlık turizmi ve uluslararası sağlık hizmetleri kavram ve süreçlerinin belirli boyutları ile belirlenmesi, dünya örnekleri kapsamında sağlık turizminin değerlendirilmesi ve sağlık turizminde hasta haklarının ve etik değerlerin incelenmesi olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu amaçla tasarlanan çalışmada betimsel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veri toplamada temel araç olarak uygulanan anket; biri sağlık turizminde hasta hakları ile ilgili görüşleri ölçmek, diğeri sağlık turizminde etik sorunsalı ile ilgili görüşleri ölçmek amacıyla iki farklı ölçek kullanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Bu araştırmanın evrenini sağlık turizmi kapsamında Türkiye'de tedavi gören hastalar oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemine ise araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 125 sağlık turizmi hastası alınmıştır. Çalışmada `yaş grubu` ile `hasta hakları` ve `etik sorunsalı` arasında ve `hastane türü` ile `hasta hakları` ve `etik sorunsalı` arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki tespit edilmiştir.
