It has become more of an issue to trust the audit report that provides a reasonable assurance that the financial statements that are an output of the accounting input for the business stakeholders are prepared in accordance with the financial reporting standards and the relevant legislation and in a proper and honest manner. The confidence in the auditor's report is directly proportional to the size of the audit organization, whether the organization is national or international, the existence of a quality control system for the auditing company and the professional care and diligence demonstrated by the independent auditor during audit. However, considering the financial scandals throughout the world in recent years, the increasing need for stakeholders' impartial, transparent, understandable and reliable information has lead to changes and innovations in auditor reports.Today, investors and business groups expect more than just opinions from the auditors' reports. In line with these emerging requests, IAASB launched the Auditor's Report Project in 2011 and the innovations and changes brought by the project were published on January 15, 2015. It has been decided that these regulations shall be valid in the auditor reports to be prepared on 15.12.2016 and later. The most important innovation in the revised auditor's reports is providing information to those concerned during the audit process by adding key audit findings to the auditor's report. The purpose of this study is to examine the determination and reporting of key audit findings within the scope of UDS 701 by taking into account the reasons for the need for change in the auditor's report and the expected benefits.

İşletme paydaşları için muhasebe girdisinin bir çıktısı olan finansal tabloların, finansal raporlama standartlarına ve ilgili mevzuata uygun, doğru ve dürüst bir şekilde hazırlandığına ilişkin makul güvence sunan denetçi raporuna güven duyulması ve ihtiyaca uygun olması önem arz eden bir husustur. Denetçi raporuna duyulan güven, denetim kuruluşunun büyüklüğü, kuruluşun ulusal veya uluslararası olması, denetim kuruluşuna ait bir kalite kontrol sistemi bulunması, bağımsız denetçinin denetimi sürdürürken gösterdiği mesleki özen ve titizlik gibi denetimin kalitesine etki eden ölçütlerle doğru orantılıdır. Ancak son yıllarda dünyada yaşanan finansal skandallarda göz önüne alındığında paydaşların tarafsız, şeffaf, anlaşılır ve güvenilir bilgiye duydukları ihtiyacın artması denetçi raporlarında değişiklik ve yenilikleri de beraberinde getirmiştir.Günümüzde yatırımcılar ve işletmeyle ilgili gruplar denetçi raporlarında görüş bildirmekten daha fazlasını beklemektedir. Ortaya çıkan bu talepler doğrultusunda IAASB 2011 yılında Denetçi Raporu Projesi'ni başlatmış ve projesinin getirdiği yenilik ve değişiklikler 15 Ocak 2015 tarihinde yayımlanmıştır. Yapılan bu düzenlemelerin 15.12.2016 ve sonrasında düzenlenecek denetçi raporlarında geçerli olmasına karar verilmiştir. Revize edilen denetçi raporlarında en önemli yenilik kilit denetim bulgularının denetçi raporuna eklenerek ilgililere denetim süreci hakkında bilgi sunulmasıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, denetçi raporunda değişikliğe ihtiyaç duyulmasının nedenleri ve beklenen faydaların ele alınarak UDS 701 kapsamında kilit denetim bulgularının belirlenmesi ve raporlanmasının irdelenmesidir.
