Aim: To evaluate of the retention of implant supported metal copings which were cemented with permanent and temporary cements to titanium abutments of different heights and widths. Materials-Methods: Of the totally used prefabricated titanium abutments 12 were standart-diameter abutments (4,2 mm) with 6,5 mm in height and 12 were wide-diameter abutments (5,5 mm) with 6,5 mm in height. Heights of the 12 of the 24 abutments were reduced to 4 mm and finally, four abutments groups (n=6), which involved standart-diameter and short, standart-diameter and long, wide-diameter and short, and wide-diameter and long abutments were generated. For the cementation of the metal copings, four permanent cements, such as glass ionomer (Ketac Cem), zinc phosphate (Adhesor), composite resin (Panavia F), calcium aluminate-glass ionomer (Ceramir) and two temporary cements, such as non-eugenol urethane dimethacrylate (ImProv and Dentotemp) were used. 144 chrome-cobalt metal copings were produced on these abutments and the cement space was adjusted to 40 µm by the DMLS (direct metal laser sintering) method. Samples were stored at room temperature for 24 hours, 37º water for 24 hours and subjected to a uniaxial tensile test at a speed of 0,5 mm/min using a universal test machine. Results: When the retention values obtained for all types of cement applied on all abutment groups were pooled, there were a significant differences among the cements in terms of retention. Although there is no significant difference between zinc phosphate and calcium aluminate-glass ionomer cements, these cements had significantly higher retention values than any other cements. Although there was no significant difference between composite resin, glass ionomer and urethane dimethacrylate (ImProv) cements, these cements had significantly higher retention values than urethane dimethacrylate cement (Dentotemp) which had the lowest retention value. When all the retention values obtained from abutments were pooled and compared in terms of the length and width of the abutment, the width did not result in a significant difference when the length was kept the same, however when the width was kept the same, and the length caused a significant difference. Conclusion: The increase in length of the abutments significantly the retention of crowns luted with permanent cements. The change in the length and width of the abutment did not cause any significant change in the retention values of the copings luted with temporary cements. Generally permanent cements have higher retention values than temporary cements. Calcium aluminate-glass ionomer cement appears to be suitable for the long term retention of implant supported crowns.

Amaç: Daimi ve geçici simanlar kullanılarak farklı yükseklik ve genişlikteki titanyum abutmentlere simante edilen implant üstü metal kron kopinglerin retansiyonlarının değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç-Yöntem: 12 adet standart çaplı (4,2 mm) ve 6,5 mm uzunluğunda, 12 adet geniş çaplı (5,5 mm) ve 6,5 mm uzunluğunda toplam 24 adet yeni prefabrike titanyum abutmentin 12 tanesinin boyu 4 mm olacak şekilde kısaltıldı. Sonuçta standart çaplı-uzun, standart çaplı kısa, geniş çaplı-uzun ve geniş çaplı-kısa olmak üzere dört farklı abutment grubu (n=6) elde edildi. Bu abutmentlerin üzerine DMLS (Direkt metal lazer sinterleme) yöntemi ile 144 adet krom-kobalt metal kopingler siman aralığı tüm örneklerde 40 µm olacak şekilde ürettirildi. Simantasyon için cam iyonomer siman (Ketac Cem), çinko fosfat siman (Adhesor), rezin siman (PanaviaF 2.0) ve kalsiyum alüminat-cam iyonomer siman (Ceramir) gibi daimi simanlar ve implant üstü restorasyonlarda geçici simantasyon amacıyla kullanılan iki farklı öjenolsüz üretan dimetakrilat siman (ImProv ve DentoTemp) kullanıldı. Örnekler 24 saat oda ısısında, 24 saat 37º suda bekletildi ve sonra universal test cihazı yardımıyla 0,5 mm/dk hızla uniaksiyal çekme testine tabi tutuldu. Bulgular: Tüm abutment grupları üzerine uygulanan tüm siman tipleri için elde edilen retansiyon değerleri havuzlandığında simanların arasında retansiyon açısından anlamlı fark bulundu. Çinko fosfat ve kalsiyum alüminat-cam iyonomer simanlar arasında anlamlı fark olmamasına rağmen, bu simanlar diğer tüm simanlara kıyasla anlamlı derecede daha yüksek retansiyon değerlerine sahiptir. Kompozit rezin, cam iyonomer ve üreten dimetakrilat (ImProv) simanlar arasında anlamlı fark olmamasına rağmen, bu simanlar en düşük retansiyon değerine sahip üreten dimetakrilat simandan (DentoTemp) anlamlı derecede daha yüksek retansiyon değerlerine sahiptir. Abutmentlerden elde edilen tüm retansiyon değerleri havuzlanıp, abutmentin uzunluk ve genişliğine göre kıyaslandığında, uzunluk aynı tutulduğunda genişlik anlamlı fark oluşturmazken, genişlik aynıyken uzunluk anlamlı fark oluşmasına neden olmuştur. Sonuç: Abutmentin uzunluğunun artması daimi simanların retansiyonunu önemli derecede artırmıştır. Abutmentin uzunluğunun ve çapının değişmesi, geçici simanların retansiyon değerlerinde önemli değişikliğe neden olmamıştır. Daimi simanlar genel olarak geçici simanlardan daha yüksek retansiyon değerlerine sahiptir. Kalsiyum alüminat-cam iyonomer simanın, implant üstü kron protezlerinin uzun süreli retansiyonu için kullanılması uygun gibi görünmektedir.
