Fifty six faba bean genotypes were evaluated under three water regimes at openfield and greenhouse in six RCBD experiments during 2012/13 season. All sources ofvariation were highly significant for plant height, no. of branches, seeds/plant, WaterUse Efficiency (WUE) and seed yield/plant in the combined and AMMI (Additive MainEffect and Multiplicative Interaction) analyses. Faba bean traits decreased with waterdeficit except WUE which was highest under moderate stress. While the highest seedyield across the six environments were Giza 674, Hassawi 1, Cairo 7, Pop. 4 and Hassawi2 with mean values of 13.3, 13.0, 12.9, 12.9 and 12.6 g/plant, respectively, the genotypesLine 4, Gazira 2, Kamline, Sakha 1 and Cairo 7 ranked first for WUE. Out of fourteenstable genotypes for WUE; three genotypes (ILB 4358, Line 21 and Giza 402) were stablefor seed yield. Highly significant correlation (r = 0.50, P<0.001) among mean of seedyield and WUE was detected although, no relationship between seed yield and WUE forAMMI Stability Values (ASV). Biplot of principal components for seed yield and WUEdetected that there are wide differences between them, and each character has a specialmeaning in light of the availability of water. Results of this study suggested that unstablefaba bean seed yield could be return to low efficiency for water availability. WUE isconsidered an important approach in breeding programs to development high potentialand stable faba bean genotypes for seed yield to cope with change in environments.

قيمت ستة وخمسون تركيبا وراثيا من الفول البلدي تحت ثلاثة مستويات من مياه الري في الحقل والصوبة في ستة تجارب بتصميم القطاعات الكاملة العشوائية خلال موسم 2012/2013. كانت كل مصادرالتباين للتحليل التجميعي وتحليل الثبات AMMI عالية المعنوية لطول النبات وعدد الافرع والبذور وكفاءة استخدام المياه ومحصول البذور. انخفضت صفات الفول مع نقص المياه ماعدا كفاءة استخدام المياه كانت أعلي تحت مستوي المياه المتوسطه. بينما كان متوسط محصول البذور عالي في جيزة 674 وحساوي 1 والقاهرة 7 وعشيرة 4 وحساوي 2 بقيم 13.3 و13.0 و12.9 و 12.9 و12.6 جرام/للنبات علي التوالي وكانت التركيب الوراثية سلالة 4 وجزيرة 2 وكاملينا وسخا 1 والقاهرة 7 الافضل في كفاءة استخدام المياه. من أربعة عشرة تركيبا وراثيا عالية الثبات في كفاءة استخدام المياه فقط ثلاثة تراكيب وراثية (ILB 4358 والسلالة 21 وجيزة 402) كانت عالية الثبات لمحصول البذور. لوحظ أرتباط عالي المعنوية (r = 0.50) بين متوسط محصول البذور وكفاءة استخدام المياه علي الرغم من عدم وجود علاقة بين قيم ثبات AMMI لكل من محصول البذور و كفاءة استخدام المياه. أكد تحليلBiplot للمكونات الرئيسية لكلا من محصول البذور وكفاءة استخدام المياه بان هناك اختلافات كبيرة بينهما وان كل صفة لها مدلول خاص في ظل توفر المياه. أوضحت نتائج هذه الدراسة ان عدم ثبات محصول بذور الفول البلدي قد يرجع الي انخفاض كفاءة استخدام الماء المتاح. تعتبر كفاءة استخدام المياه صفة مهمه في برامج التربية لاستنباط تراكيب وراثية عالية المحصول ولها ثبات لمواجهة التغيرات المناخية.
