استخدمت في هذا البحث بيانات المحطة الزراعية في مدينة سيئون حيث تم إيجاد المعدلات اليومية، الشهرية، السنوية لدرجات حرارة التربة على أعماق 5cm ,10cm ,20cm و 30cm. تم رسم أشكال بيانية وجداول توضح تغير معدلات الحرارة لمختلف الأعماق. تبين أن معدلات الحرارة تقل مع الأعماق بمعدل تناقصي خلال أشهر( يونيو , يوليو وأغسطس ) , أما في الأشهر الأخرى فتقل إلى حدود أقل من 30cm ثم تبدأ بالزيادة لابتعادها عن مصدر التسخين الشمسي وقلة المحتوى المائي . تم إيجاد نوعين من المعادلات التنبؤية من النوع متعدد الحدود (Polynomial), في الجزء الأول تم إيجاد معدل درجة الحرارة الخاصة بكل عمق من الأعماق لأشهر السنة المختلفة حيث Y = ax2 + b x + c تمثل Y القيمة المراد إيجاد التنبؤ لها (معدل درجة حرارة عمق معين) , x رقم الشهر المراد التنبؤ له والـ a ، b ، c ثوابت تم إيجادها من خلال البحث. أما في الجزء الثاني فقد تم من خلاله إيجاد معدل درجة الحرارة لكل شهر من أشهر السنة ولمختلف الأعماق من خلال نفس المعادلة السابقة حيث تمثل Y هنا القيمة المراد التنبؤ لها (معدل درجة الحرارة لشهر معين), x العمق الذي يراد التنبؤ له والـ a، b ،c ثوابت تم إيجادها من خلال البحث. أظهرت قيم معامل الارتباط(Correlation Coefficient) قيمًا عالية جدا تتراوح بين 0.95 و0.99 مما يجعل استخدام المعادلات التنبؤية المستخرجة من البحث عملياً جداً.

The data set from Seiyun agricultural station is used to find the daily, monthly and yearly soil temperatures at 5cm, 10cm, 20cm and 30cm depth. Graphs and tables were done to show the rate of soil temperature changes at various depths. The rate of changes found to be decreasing with depths in ( June ,July and August ), however, in other months, it is found to be decreasing up to 30cm and then increasing because of the increases distance from the direct sun radiation and the shortage in moisture content. Two predictive equations of the Polynomial type have been found; The first equation is to predict the average soil temperature for each depth at different months, where Y = ax2 + b x+ c Y represents the average soil temperature (at certain depth), x is the number of the month and a, b, c are constants. The second equation is to predict the average soil temperature for each month at different depths, where Y represents the average soil temperature (at certain month), x is the depth and a, b, c are constants. The predicted values ​​show that the Correlation Coefficient is very high and ​​ranging between 0.95 and 0.99.
