تم عزل خمس سلالات من الاكتينوميستات المحبة للقلوية من تربة منطقة القصيم بالمملكة العربية ودراسة الخواص الفسيولوجية لها. جميع العزلات تنمو في خلال مدى حراري يتراوح من 25- 40°م و أس الهيدروجيي يتراوح 7-12. جميع السلالات تستطيع افراز انزيمات الليسيثينيز والبروتيزوالليبيز وذلك بنموها على البيئة الصلبة لمستحلب البيض. ايضا للعزلات الخمس القدرة على اختزال النترات وتحليل الجيلاتين واللبن منزوع الدسم والنشا وتوين 60 واليوريا والـDNA وهيبوكسي زانثينوالادنين والتيروسين. نمت جميع العزلات بدرجات متفاوتة على سكر الجلوكوز على البيئة القلوية (ب3> ب6 >ب8= ب10= ب11على التوالي (بينما لم ينمو أي منها على البيئة المتعادلة للجلوكوز. استخدمت جميع العزلات الجليسين، السيرين ، الآلانين، البرولين، فنيل ألانين والمثيونين ونمت عليهم بغزارة. جميع السلالات حساسة للجنتاميسين (100ميكروجرام/مل) وستربتوميسين (100ميكروجرام/مل) و فانكوميسين (50 ميكروجرام /مل) على البيئة المتعادلة وجميعها غير حساسة للبنسلين (10 ميكروجرام/مل). لم يكن للسلالات المعزولة اي نشاط تثبيطي لنمو البكتريا والفطريات تحت هذه الدراسة.

Alkalophilic actinomycete strains named B3, B6, B8, B10 andB11 were isolated from five farming soil samples collected from Al-Qassim region, Saudi Arabia and their physiological characteristics were evaluated. All isolated strains had temperature range 25-40°C and pH range 7-12. Lipase, protease and lecithinase enzymes were secreated by all strains cultivated on neutral and alkaline egg emulsion agar medium. Furthermore, five isolates reduced nitrate, degraded gelatine, casein, skimmed milk, starch, tween60, DNA, Urea, L-tyrosine and hypoxanthine. All isolates grew with various degrees with glucose on alkaline medium (B3<B6<B8=B10=B11, respectively) while, there are no growth was observed on neutral medium with glucose. All isolates used glycine, serine, alanine, proline, phenyl alanine and methionine and have abundant growth. All strains were sensitized to gentamycin (100µg/ml), streptomycin (100 µg/ml) and vancomycin (50 µg/ml) on neutral medium and are not sensitized to penicillin G (10.0µg/ml) and all isolated strains have no antimicrobial activity against bacteria or fungi under this study.
