This study is located in Nigerian formal organizations across a broad range ofmanufacturing and service organizations, with the aim of capturing the responsesof executives working in a diversity of firms and enterprises. A questionnaire ofthe Likert type was administered on 424 respondents. Four research questionsand four hypotheses were formulated for the study. Data for the researchquestions were analyzed using the mean and standard deviation of responses,while the t-test of difference between means and students’ t-distribution were usedto analyze the hypotheses. The study in the end, recommended the adoption of theCreative-Contingency Model of Conflict Management as an enduring answer toconflict situations in firms.
