The study is about the extent of using Zarqa University students for paper sources with the advent of electronic resources from their point of view, the reasons for their using paper and electronic sources, and the difficulties they face. Study Community consisted of 731 students of the Zarqa University during the first semester of the academic year 2012/2013. The sample was chosen by 360 students ( 5%) of the total number of study community. The study revealed that it is cannot search without using both of paper and electronic sources. It also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of (a ≤ 0.05) between the respondents’ points of view attributed to the dependent variables due sex and specialization; while there are statistically significant differences due study level. The study recommended a number of recommendations related to its findings, such as the need to direct and guide students to use paper and electronic sources, the adoption of a compulsory requirement course; includes how to benefit from the types and forms of information sources and how to use them.

تناولت الدراسة الحالية التعرف على مدى استخدام طلبة جامعة الزرقاء للمصادر الورقية في ظل ظهور المصادر الإلكترونية من وجهة نظرهم، وأسباب استخدامهم الشكلين الورقي والإلكتروني وما الصعوبات التي تواجههم. تمثل مجتمع الدراسة بطلاب جامعة الزرقاء من العام الدراسي 2012/2013 والبالغ عددهم (7312) المسجلين في الفصل الدراسي الأول. وقد تم اختيار عينة بنسبة 5% من مجموع الطلبة بلغ حجمها (360) طالباً وطالبة يدرسون في تخصصات علمية وادبية. وأظهرت الدراسة أنه لا يمكن الإستغناء عن أي من الشكلين من مصادر المعلومات الورقية أو الإلكترونية. وكذلك أظهرت الدراسة أنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عن مستوى الدلالة (a ≤ 0.05) بين إجابة المستجيبين تعود لمتغيري الجنس والتخصص بينما لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعود إلى متغير المستوى الدراسي. أوصت الدراسة بعدة توصيات منها: ضرورة توجيه وإرشاد الطلبة إلى إستخدام مصادر المعلومات الورقية والإلكترونية، وإقرار مساق إجباري لمتطلبات الجامعة يُدّرس فيه أنواع وأشكال مصادر المعلومات وكيفية استخدامها والإفادة منها.
