Creative thinking is an importanthuman characteristic. It is perhaps best thought ofas a process, requiring a mixture of ingredients,including personality traits, abilities and skills. Thisarticle compares the differences in creative thinkingbetween students with high and low level ofacademic achievement. A total number of 208secondary school students participated in this study.Two groups were formulated: high achievers(n=104) and low achievers (n=104). Analysis of datawas done using t-test for independent sample toestimate the comparison between two groups at 0.05levels. A self developed instrument was used tomeasure the creative thinking potential of students.Results of the study revealed that there are nodifferences between high achievers and lowachievers in terms of creative thinking abilities.However, girls and the students lived in urban areaswere better in creative thinking.
