هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على الفروق في مستوى فهم التراكيب اللغوية في اللغة الاستقبالية لدى الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة الذهنية البسيطة ، وفقا لمتغيري العمر والجنس . تكونت عينة الدراسة من (65) تلميذا معاقا ذهنيا بدرجة بسيطة ، (37 ذكور ، 28 إناث )، تراوحت أعمارهم من 8 – 14 سنة، موزعين على ثلاث مراحل عمرية: 8 -10، 10 -12، 12 – 14 سنة . أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى فهم التراكيب اللغوية بين الفئات العمرية (8-10)،(10-12)،(12-14) سنة لصالح الأطفال الأكبر سنا ( 12-14 ) سنة. أما فيما يتعلق بمتغير الجنس، أشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى فهم التراكيب اللغوية لصالح الإناث في ( الجملة المكونة من عنصرين، النفي ، التمييز بين حرفي الجر في و على، جملة الصلة المرتبطة بالمبتدأ، التباين في تحديد الأماكن، المبني للمجهول، تزامن حدثين أو صفتين، ربط الضمائر بأسمائها، الصفة المتأخرة )، ومع ذلك ، كان أداء الذكور أفضل من الإناث في الأبعاد التالية ( ليس هذا فقط وإنما ذلك أيضا، صفة المقارنة، ضمائر العدد، لا هذا ولا ذاك، هذا وليس ذاك، اختلاف العدد في الفاعل والمفعول به ).
This study aimed to identify the differences in the level of understanding of linguistic structures in receptive language in children with intellectual disabilities, according to the variables of age and gender.The study sample consisted of (65) pupils with mild intellectualdisability (37 males, 28 females), divided into three age levels: 8 -10, 10 – 12, 12 - 14 years. The results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the level of understanding the grammatical structure between age groups (8-10)), (10-12), (12-14)years, in favor of elder children of(12-14) years.
Where regarding to gender variable, it has found that there were statistically significant differences in the level of understanding of language structures in favor of female students in (sentence of two elements, negation, differentiating the proposition (in) and (on), complex sentence related to the subject, sentence with different setting, sentence with tow events or descriptions, sentence having pronouns, sentence in which the subject is stated at the end, and sentence with passive voice. However, males have performed better in the following dimensions: ( sentence with the structure ( not only this, but that), comparisons, numbers, plural forms, ( neither this nor that) structures, different plural or singular forms between the subject and the object).
